Longhorns set to play eight matches at Mike A. Myers Stadium
AUSTIN, Texas — University of Texas head soccer coach Margueritte Bates announced the Longhorns' 2026 schedule Tuesday morning.
Texas' 17-match regular season slate includes eight contests at Mike A. Myers Soccer Stadium and features nine tilts against 2025 NCAA Tournament teams.
The Longhorns begin their 2026 campaign by hosting HCU on Aug. 13 before a three-match road swing at Pitt (Aug. 16), Arizona State (Aug. 20) and Grand Canyon (Aug. 23).
Texas returns home to face in-state foes Baylor on Aug 27 and Incarnate Word on Aug. 30.
Meanwhile, the Longhorns wrap up non-conference action versus 2025 national-semifinalist TCU in Fort Worth (Sept. 6).
Texas kicks off league competition at reigning Southeastern Conference Champion Arkansas on Sept. 10.
The Longhorns' conference home opener is set for Sept. 18, as Texas welcomes Tennessee to Mike A. Myers Stadium.
For the lone time in SEC play, the Longhorns play back-to-back road tilts at Florida (Sept. 24) and Ole Miss (Sept. 27).
Texas squares off against Red River rival Oklahoma on Oct. 4 before its penultimate road contest at Kentucky on Oct 9.
The Longhorns round out their regular season schedule with three of their final four matches at home, taking on LSU (Oct. 15), South Carolina (Oct. 18) and Auburn (Nov. 1).
Texas' last road affair comes at Vanderbilt on Oct. 23.
2026 marks the Longhorns' first campaign under Bates. Bates arrived on The Forty Acres after an extraordinary four-year tenure at UCLA, where she became the first rookie head coach to win the NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Championship in 2022.
During her time with the Bruins, Bates compiled a 67-13-9 (.803) ledger, the fourth-best mark of any program during that stretch. The two-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year guided UCLA to a pair of conference titles and four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.
