O’Keefe competes in her third LPGA major championship this year.
EVIAN-LES-BAINS, France— For the second time this year Texas women's golfer Farah O'Keefe is the low amateur in an LPGA major championship as she wrapped up her third tournament in three weeks in as many different countries on Sunday at the Amundi Evian Championship.
O'Keefe carded rounds of 68-74-68-69 to shoot 5-under-par for the championship. O'Keefe finished T35 for the championship. Her teammate Lauren Kim made the cut and finished in 64th place.
"It's a really cool experience," O'Keefe said. "I had no idea how beautiful this place was. It's pretty breathtaking. The food is incredible. The people are so nice. So it's been really, really cool week, one to remember, and I can't wait to come back hopefully in the future. But I'm also so grateful. I got an exemption to play in this event so very thankful to all the people that granted me that exemption and made it possible for me to be here.
O'Keefe, the 2026 NCAA individual champion, ANNIKA Award winner and Honda Award winner, completed a stretch of three weeks that included the Women's Amateur Championship in Scotland, the Arnold Palmer Cup in Ireland and now the Amundi Evian Championship in France.
O'Keefe has competed in three of the four LPGA major championships this year and has been low amateur twice. She tied for low amateur in the first major of the season, the Chevron Championship in April.
O'Keefe picked up her 17th point in the LPGA Elite Amateur Pathway program and needs three more points to secure LPGA status.
O'Keefe has now competed in five LPGA major championships and six total LPGA events. As the NCAA champion she received an exemption and will play in the LPGA's The Standard Portland Classic August 13-16. O'Keefe is also scheduled to play in the U.S. Women's Amateur August 4-9 at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn.
