The Longhorns kick off the season against Texas State on Sept. 5.
Excitement surrounding the 2026 Texas Football season continues to build in anticipation of the Longhorns' home opener on September 5. Season tickets and individual game tickets for all home games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium are officially sold out through Texas Athletics.
Fans interested in purchasing tickets to any game this season should visit SeatGeek, the official fan-to-fan marketplace of Texas Athletics.
The sellout continues the incredible momentum surrounding the program under Head Coach Steve Sarkisian and marks the fifth consecutive season that Texas fans have sold out DKR well before the opening kickoff of the season. While tickets available to the general public are sold out, returning and incoming UT students can still purchase the Big Ticket with Football student ticket package, providing access to 100+ Texas Athletics regular season home events during the 2026-27 season. Student tickets for football home games must be claimed during each game's mobile ticket claim process.
In addition, Texas' allotment for the annual Allstate Red River Rivalry against Oklahoma on October 10 at the Cotton Bowl is sold out. Fans interested in attending the October matchup in Dallas may still find tickets available through SeatGeek.

The 2026 home schedule features seven games at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, beginning with non-conference contests against Texas State (Sept. 5), Ohio State (Sept. 12) and UTSA (Sept. 19). Texas will then host Southeastern Conference opponents Florida (Oct. 17), Ole Miss (Oct. 24), and Mississippi State (Oct. 31) before concluding the home regular season schedule against longtime rival Arkansas (Nov. 21). The Longhorns will also meet Oklahoma in the annual Allstate Red River Rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas on Oct. 10 as well as road games at Tennessee, Missouri, LSU and Texas A&M in the annual Cotton Holdings Lone Star Showdown. The 2026 schedule features seven opponents ranked in the Top-25 of the AFCA Coaches Preseason Poll.
