Softball announces 2026 fall schedule

The back-to-back Women’s College World Series Champions will play five fall games at McCombs Field and one game on the road at Texas A&M.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas Softball has announced its 2026 fall schedule, which features five dates to watch the Longhorns at Red & Charline McCombs Field and one date on the road at Texas A&M. Each home event is free for the public to attend.
Texas will kick off its fall schedule by hosting Murray State College at 6 p.m. CT Tuesday, Sept. 29, at McCombs Field. Then, the Longhorns will host Texas State at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 13, followed by a matchup against Temple College at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 at McCombs Field. Texas takes on McLennan Community College at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 27 at McCombs Field. The Longhorns will wrap up their home slate vs. UTSA at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29 at McCombs. Texas will hit the road to Texas A&M for its final fall game at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.

Texas (53-12) is coming off back-to-back Women's College World Series Championships, taking home the national crowns in 2025-26. Texas swept Texas Tech in the Championship Series, 7-3 and 4-1, on June 3-4. Texas posted its program-record, third-straight 50-win season and went 11-2 in the NCAA Tournament. After dropping their WCWS opener to No. 8 Tennessee, 6-3, on May 28, the Longhorns rattled off six-straight wins at Devon Park to repeat as National Champions. The Texas coaching staff was named the NFCA's National Coaching Staff of the Year for the second-consecutive season, and assistant coach Pattie Ruth Taylor earned the NFCA's Assistant Coach of the Year. In addition to the back-to-back national titles, Texas won the program's first SEC Tournament title and fifth overall conference tournament championship in 2026.
