O’Keefe named SEC Golfer of the Week

Farah O’Keefe earned co-medalist honors at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — University of Texas senior Farah O'Keefe has been named the Southeastern Conference Women's Golfer of the Week, the league announced Wednesday. This marks the third SEC Golfer of the Week honor for O'Keefe. O'Keefe was the 2026 SEC Player of the Year.
O'Keefe shot three rounds under par with 71-71-70 (-4) at the Jackson T. Stephens Cup and helped the Longhorns defeat Oregon in match play to earn third place in the tournament. The victory was her sixth career win and tied her for second in program history for career wins.
O'Keefe was the 2026 NCAA individual Champion and earned the 2026 ANNIKA Award, 2026 WGCA Player of the Year, 2026 Golfweek Player of the Year and 2026 Honda Award for golf.
O'Keefe set an NCAA record with 12 top-10 finishes in the 2025-26 season and set a Texas single season career for stroke average at 69.84. She won four events in the 2025-26 season and her six total victories are tied for second all-time at Texas. O'Keefe is tied with Sherri Steinhauer, who played from 1981-85. The all-time record for career victories for Texas women's golf is held by Michiko Hattori, who played from 1987-91 and recorded 10 victories.
O'Keefe played in three LPGA majors this past season and was the low amateur in the Chevron Championship and The Amundi Evian Championship. O'Keefe has played in the Augusta National Women's Amateur three times with a best finish of 10th place in 2025.
This past summer, O'Keefe helped Team USA win the Curtis Cup and posted a perfect 5-0 record. She also was part of Team USA for the Arnold Palmer Cup.
Next up, O'Keefe and the Longhorns travel to Scotland for the St. Andrews Links Collegiate Oct. 12-14.
