Played in all 13 games at tailback with six starts (Wyoming, New Mexico, Ole Miss, West Virginia, Oklahoma and Iowa State) ... his 16 rushing touchdowns ranked second in the Big 12 and tied for 15th in the FBS ... that mark also ranks seventh on the Texas single-season list ... ranked tied for 11th in the Big 12 and tied for 71st in the FBS in scoring (7.4 ppg) ... had 567 rushing yards (43.6 ypg) which ranked second on the team ... had two 100-yard rushing games ... made his first career start vs. Wyoming, posting a team-high 110 yards on 15 carries ... had a career long 54-yard run in the game ... it marked the second time he and Malcolm Brown (105) both rushed for more than 100 yards in the same game (also Kansas, 2011) ... had a career-long 22-yard reception in New Mexico game ... rushed for 48 yards on 11 carries against Ole Miss ... had two rushing touchdowns, including the game-winning 2-yarder with 29 seconds left, and 48 rushing yards vs. Oklahoma State ... posted four rushing touchdowns vs. West Virginia ... that ranks tied for seventh on the Texas single-game list ... became the first Texas player to post four or more rushing TDs in a game since Vince Young (also four) vs. Michigan in the 2005 Rose Bowl ... rushed for a career-high five touchdowns and 117 yards (19 carries) vs. Baylor ... became the fourth player in school history to post four or more rushing touchdowns in multiple games (also Ricky Williams, 5; Cedric Benson, 2; Vince Young, 2) and third to post five or more in one game (Williams had a school-record six twice during the 1998 season [vs. Rice and New Mexico State]; Benson - five rushing TDs vs. Oklahoma State in 2004) ... named an honorable mention RB of the Week by the College Football Performance Awards and earned the team’s offensive player of the week ... had 32 rushing yards on seven carries, including a 3-yard TD run, vs. Kansas ... had 14 rushing yards on five carries, including a 2-yard TD run, vs. Texas Tech ... started in the Wishbone backfield vs. Iowa State and posted 86 rushing yards on 12 carries to become the 47th player in school history to post more than 1,000 career rushing yards ... rushed for 12 yards on five carries, and one reception for 7 yards against TCU ... had one carry for 3 yards and made one tackle on special teams against Kansas State ... left the game against the Wildcats with a shoulder injury early in the second half.
FRESHMAN (2011)
Played in 11 games at running back ... ranked second on the team in rushing yards (463) and tied for second in rushing touchdowns (five) … his five rushing touchdowns rank tied for ninth most by a freshman in school history ... averaged 6.4 yards per rushing attempt … helped the Texas offense rank 21st in the nation in rushing offense (202.62 ypg) and average 392.54 yards in total offense … recorded five special teams tackles … tied a school freshman record with three rushing touchdowns against Texas Tech … carried the ball 29 times for a 191 yards against the Red Raiders with his rushing total ranking second most in a single game by a UT freshman … his total included a 51-yard run and he had five carries of 10 or more yards in the game which helped him earn the Capital One Cup Impact Performance of the Week, honorable mention CFPA Running Back of the Week and the team Offensive Player of the Week honor … had a breakout game against Kansas, rushing for a team-high 136 yards and two touchdowns on just 13 carries … joined Malcolm Brown to become the first freshmen duo in school history to each rush for over 100 yards in the same game … the 136 yards are the 15th most in a single game by a Texas freshman … his touchdowns against the Jayhawks came on runs of 4 and 35 yards … five of his 13 carries in the Kansas game were for over 10 yards, including two of 20 or more … had 40 yards on nine carries against Kansas State … made his college debut against Rice with 26 yards on six carries … at UCLA he recorded a 27-yard rush as part of his 36 yards on five attempts … tallied four carries for 28 yards with a 16-yard rush at Iowa State in his first Big 12 action … in the Holiday Bowl he carried the ball three times for 9 yards ... had one special teams tackle against BYU, Oklahoma State and Missouri.
