2012 U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS
• Placed fourth in the 200m IM (1:59.58/1:59.65p/1:59.87s), 15th in the 400m IM (4:22.81), 34th in the 100m freestyle (50.48) and 66th in the 200m freestyle (1:52.12)
AS A JUNIOR (2011-12)
• Won the National Championship in the 400 freestyle relay as he was the third leg of the four that put together a winning time of 2:49.83)
• Garnered honorable mention All-America honors in three events at the NCAA Championships, finishing 10th in the 400 IM (3:44.39), 11th in the 200 IM (1:44.17) and 12th in the 200 backstroke (1:43.05)
• Won the Big 12 Championship in the 200 freestyle relay, swimming the second leg of the group that clocked a 1:18.23)
• Claimed second place in both the 200 backstroke (1:44.71) and 200 IM (1:45.58) at the Big 12 Championships while also placing third in the 400 IM (3:50.19)
• Took third in the 400 IM at the Texas Invitational with a time of 3:49.25 and was 10th in the 200 backstroke (1:45.18)
• Finished second in the 200 IM against both SMU (1:52.15) and Texas A&M (1:48.30)
• In a dual with Georgia, he ended up third in the 100 backstroke (51.08) and fourth in the 200 backstroke (1:51.21)
• Swam the third leg of the second place 400 freestyle relay at the Texas Invitational (2:52.33)
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11)
• Won the 200 backstroke (1:43.94) and placed third in the 400 IM (3:54.06) and fourth in the 100 backstroke (49.91) against Texas A&M
• Took fourth in the 200 backstroke (1:47.78), fifth in the 200 IM (1:50.96) and ninth in the 100 backstroke (50.21) against Arizona and SMU
• Placed fifth in the 200 backstroke (1:51.81) and sixth in the 400 IM (3:58.76) at Georgia
• Took third in the 200 backstroke (1:48.38) and fifth in the 200 IM (1:51.32) at Auburn
