AS A JUNIOR (2007-08)
• Posted a 9-5 overall singles record and a 3-4 overall doubles record
• Defeated Illinois[apos] Jordan Knue in straight sets at the ASU Spring Invitational
• Defeated Oregon[apos]s Stephen Wiechert, Marquette[apos]s Brett Binkley and Oregon[apos]s Mike Myrhed at the Texas Invitational
• Knocked off Texas Tech[apos]s Christian Rojmar in three sets and Texas A&M[apos]s Brad Williams in straight sets at the ITA South Central Regional Championship
• Scored four singles victories to win his flight at the UTSA Invitational
• Defeated Louisiana-Lafayette[apos]s Jorge Delgado in straight sets at the H-E-B Baylor Invitational
AS A SOPHOMORE (2006-07)
• Totaled an 8-15 overall singles record and a 4-8 mark in dual-match play
• Compiled a 10-8 overall doubles record
• Held a 4-6, 7-6 (1), 2-0 lead over Boise State[apos]s Steve Robertson in the second round of the NCAA Championship before the Longhorns clinched the match and advanced to the round of 16
• Defeated Oklahoma State[apos]s Nathan Byrnes, 6-4, 6-3 to help the Longhorns upset the eighth-ranked Cowboys in the semifinals of the Big 12 Championship
• Defeated Oklahoma[apos]s Federico Chavarria by a 6-4, 6-3 count in Texas[apos] 6-1 win over the Sooners
• Added dual-match victories over BYU[apos]s Cale Planck and Arkansas[apos] Jorge Villanueva
BEFORE TEXAS
• Played at Tulane University before the school eliminated its men[apos]s tennis program in the wake of Hurricane Katrina
• Totaled 16-14 overall singles record during his freshman season (2004-05) at Tulane; played at the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles positions
• Selected as the 2005 State of Louisiana Freshman of the Year
• Ranked as high as No. 350 in singles and No. 150 in doubles in the ITF world junior rankings
• Selected as the Bollettieri Tennis Academy Player of the Year in 2004 and the school[apos]s Most Improved Player in 2003
