Played in 11 games with five starts at quarterback ... first team Academic All-Big 12 selection ... set the school record for most consecutive passes to start a career without an interception with 124 (first 123 of 2011) which was also the third most consecutive passes without an interception overall by a Texas quarterback ... threw for a career-high 356 yards on 24 of 39 attempts and a career-best three touchdowns and four interceptions at Baylor ... completed passes of 78 and a career-long 80 yards versus the Bears ... came off the bench to complete 7 of 8 passes (87.5 percent) for 57 yards against BYU ... in his first career start against UCLA he completed 12 of 15 passes (80.0 percent) for a total of 168 yards and two touchdowns ...
