Marcus Tubbs is in his fifth season on the support staff at Texas, including first as assistant athletics director for football operations.
He served as the director of football operations in 2012 and the previous two years as special assistant for player relations. Tubbs was also a football operations intern in 2009. In his current role, Tubbs helps manage all day-to-day operations of the program.
Tubbs joined the Texas staff after a four-year career in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks that was cut short by injury. The 23rd overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft, Tubbs was a two-time All-Big 12 defensive tackle at Texas, including first-team honors as a senior in 2003, when he was also chosen as a team captain. During his UT career, he played in 48 games, including 36 starts, and posted 207 tackles, 41 TFLs, 15 sacks and five forced fumbles, helping the Longhorns to a 41-10 record.
Tubbs and his wife, Brittany have one daughter, Savannah.
