SENIOR (2014)
Played in nine games, mostly on special teams ... did not play vs. North Texas, BYU and UCLA ... saw his first action of the year against the Jayhawks after recovering from a knee injury suffered in the preseason ... did not play vs. K-State ... served as a game captain vs. Texas Tech ... named to the CFPA Offensive Awards preseason watch list.
JUNIOR (2013)
Played in 12 games at tight end with six starts (Ole Miss, TCU, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Oregon) ... also plays on special teams ... helped the offense rank 36th nationally in rushing (196.2 yards per game) and aided the offensive line in surrendering just 16 sacks (1.3 pg) which ranked tied for 17th fewest in the FBS ... named to the preseason CFPA Offensive Awards watch list ... had one reception for 13 yards against BYU ... started at tight end vs. Ole Miss ... missed the Kansas State game due to a foot injury ... posted one reception for 7 yards and recovered a Texas fumble to help in the overtime win against West Virginia ... registered one reception for eight yards in the Alamo Bowl vs. Oregon.
SOPHOMORE (2012)
Played in all 13 games at tight end with eight starts ... helped the Horns post the 23rd-best scoring offense in the country (35.7 ppg) and rank 40th in total yards (434.6 pg), as well as allowing just 4.1 tackles for loss per game (No. 3 in the FBS) and 1.23 sacks (22nd in FBS) …saw his first-career action at tight end vs. Wyoming ... made his first-career start vs. New Mexico .. also started vs. Ole Miss and Oklahoma State ... made his first-career reception, a 10-yarder, vs. the Sooners ... started the last five regular-season games ... had career highs in both receptions (2) and receiving yards (62) vs. Iowa State ... made a career-long 47-yard reception against the Cyclones on the first play of the game ... the play was run out of the Wishbone formation as a tribute to Darrell Royal ... earned the team’s co-offensive player of the week for his play vs. ISU ... started and had two receptions for 18 yards against TCU.

Saw action in three contests on defense, playing in the Rice, UCLA and Iowa State games … helped Texas lead the Big 12 and rank 11th in the nation in rushing defense (103.7 ypg) and 14th in total defense (315.3) … also ranked 14th in pass efficiency defense (111.9).
