Honorable mention Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year … played in 11 games with one start … carried the ball 45 times for 322 yards (7.2 ypc) and three touchdowns … also caught seven passes for 57 yards … made his debut in the opening-season victory over Louisiana, carrying the ball eight times for 41 yards … rushed five times for 83 yards with a 65-yard touchdown run … also blocked a punt at the end of the first quarter that led bounced out of the back of the end zone for a safety … tallied 42 yards on four carries and one touchdown against Texas Tech … totaled a career-best 111 yards on nine carries with one touchdown at West Virginia … marked the first 100-yard game of his career.
