Listed at No. 145 in the Top Drawer Soccer IMG Academy Top 150 national player rankings, Echols comes to Texas with an impressive interscholastic playing resume … A three-time United Soccer Coaches All-American (2017, 2018, 2019), a two-time Top Drawer Soccer All-American (2018 & 2019) and both a 2019 USA Today and All-State All-American (one of only 40 players in the nation to play in the All-State Cup), Echols registered a staggering 158 goals (Highland Park career record) and 80 assists (101 matches) during her career at Highland Park H.S. … She set her school’s single-season goal-scoring mark and led the Dallas-Fort Worth area with 52 goals and 30 assists in 2019 and added 44 goals & 26 assists in 21 games as a senior in 2020 before the COVID pandemic ended her campaign with two matches left in the regular season … A key part of two University Interscholastic League (UIL) Texas 5A state championship teams (2017 & 2019), Echols was also a four-time TASCO All-State choice (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020), twice the United Soccer Coaches Texas State Player of the Year (2017 & 2019), a two-time Dallas Morning News Player of the Year (2019, 2020) and a two-time Gatorade Player of the Year nominee (2018 & 2019) … As a freshman in 2017, she was chosen as the Dallas Morning News Newcomer of the Year, after scoring 35 goals and dishing 14 assists, and went on to earn most valuable player honors during the UIL state championship match.

Born on March 25, 2002 … Parents are Tommy and Kellye Echols … Has two siblings, Lauren and Alex … For the last few years Echols has worn a white headband so that her grandfather (known as Papa), who has glaucoma, can better find her on the field … Her father played both baseball and football at Baylor from 1985-90 … Chose Texas over a list of schools that included TCU, Texas Tech, Arkansas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and SMU … Says her two Texas state championship title rings are her most prized possessions.
