Recorded a throw of 15.17m (49-9.25) in shot put and a throw of 47.09m (154-6) in discus at the Mt. SAC Relays... Competed in three events at the Texas Invitational - shot put (15.53m), discus (42.20m) and hammer (49.17m)...
INDOOR: Began the season finishing fifth in the weight throw with a heave of 18.41m (60-5) and sixth in shot put with a mark of 14.89m (48-10.25)... Finished fourth in weight throw with the No. 5 throw in Texas history at 18.91m (62-0.5) and finished ninth in shot put at 14/59m (47-10.5) at the Dr. MLK Jr. Invite... Threw for 18.14m (59-6.25) in the weight throw at the NM Collegiate Classic... Threw two personal bests at the Eagle Elite Invite in both the shot put (15.94m / 52-3.75) and the weight (19.03m / 62-5.25)... 2022-23 (Junior)
OUTDOOR: Registered a PB in the hammer throw at 51.61m(169-4) to finish second and finished seventh in discus with a heave of 47.68m (153-6) at the Longhorn Invitational... Recorded two third-place finishes at the USF Bulls Invitational in the shot put and discus... Competed in three throwing events at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, setting a personal best in the discus with a throw of 52.96m (173-9), finishes 10th in the shot put (15.23m/49-11.75) and threw for 51.17m(167-10) in the hammer... Won the discus competition at the Tom Jones Memorial with a throw of 52.06m (170-10) and competed in both the shot put and the hammer throw... Was fourth in the discus at the Texas Invitational with a throw of 50.90m (167-0)... Scored five team points at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships with a sixth-place finish in the discus with a throw of 51.12m (167-8) and seventh in the shot put with a PB throw of 15.80m (51-10)... Qualified for both the shot put and discus at the NCAA West Prelims.
INDOOR: Finished fourth in the shot put with a throw of 15.09m and eighth in the weight with a throw of 17.63m at the Cardinal Classic... Competed in the shot put finishing with a throw of 13.95m (45-9.25) and ninth in weight throw with a toss of 17.74m (58-2.5) at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic... 2021-22 (Sophomore)
OUTDOOR: Opened the outdoor season in the hammer throw with a personal-best throw of 49.70m (163-01), which ranks as the No. 4 performer in Texas history. Also finished second in the discus with a throw of 51.03m (167-05) and third in the shot put at 15.13m (49-7.75)... Competed in the shot put and finished with a throw of 14.85m (48-8.75) and a throw of 47.28m (155-1) in the hammer throw at the Texas Relays... Won the hammer throw in the dual meet against Texas A&M with a throw of 48.20m(176-4), finished second in the discus at 46.98m (154-1) and third in shot put equaling her SB at 15.13m (49-7.75)... Competed in the hammer, discus and shot put at the Mt. SAC Relays and finished with a PB in the discus with a throw of 51.10m (167-8).... Competed in three events at the LSU Invitational, finishing with a personal-best in the discus (51.97m/170-6) and two top-10 finishes in both shot put and hammer…Set personal bests in both the shot put (15.30m) to finish ninth and discus (52.89m) to finish sixth at the Big 12 Championships to help Texas to a team title… Competed in the discus at the NCAA West Prelims…
INDOOR: Finished with a top-10 throw in the shot put at the Clemson Invitational at 13.50m (44-3.5) and finished sixth in the weight throw with a throw of 17.69m (58-0.50)... Competed in the shot put and weight throw at the Red Raider Open and another sixth-place finish in weight at 17.71m... Recorded a personal-best throw in the weight at 18.48m(60-7.75) at the Tiger Paw Invite and had a throw of 13.72m(45-0.25)... Climbed the Texas record books to No. 2 in the weight throw after a throw of 18.94m to finish seventh at the Big 12 Championships.
2020-21 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: Finished third in the shot put with a throw of 15.09m/49-6.25 and her first hammer throw competition, recording a mark of 48.61m/159-6 at the Longhorn Invitational... Posted two, top-10 finishes at the Texas Relays in the shot put with a mark of 15.12m/49-7.25 to finish fifth and a seventh-place finish in the discus at 46.55m/152-9... Recorded two personal-best marks at the dual meet against Texas A&M in the shot put (15.19m/49-10) to finish third and the hammer throw (49.45m/162-3) to finish second... Also added a second-place throw of 45.86m/150-5 in the discus... Had a successful weekend at the Michael Johnson Invitational - third in the discus (46.76m/153-5), sixth in shot put (14.50m/47-7) and 12th in the hammer (45.38m/148-11)... Finished strongly at the LSU Alumni Gold meet in the shot put (13.62m/44-8.25), discus (49.75m/163-3) and hammer (47.82m/156-11)... Posted three top-10 performances at the Texas Invitational, best in the shot put at 14.98m/49-1.75 to finish third, fourth in the hammer at 48.93m/160-6 and seventh in the discus with a throw of 41.94m/137-7... Added a personal-best throw in discus at the Big 12 Championships with a throw of 50.37m/165-3 to finish sixth and a 10th-place finish in shot put at 14.71m/48-3.25.
INDOOR: Started her collegiate career at the Corky Classic finishing second in the weight throw with a mark of 16.88m/55-4.75 and fifth in the shot put with a mark of 13.78m/45-2.5... Threw a personal-best in the weight throw at the Wooo Pig Classic at 17.75m/58-3 for a seventh-place finish and added another seventh-place spot in the shout put at 13.82m/45-4.25... Added two top-five spots at the Charlie Thomas Invitational in the shot put (14.36m/47-1.5) and weight throw (17.07m/56-0)... Finished in the top-10 in both the shot put (7th - 13.81m/45-3.75) and weight throw (6th - 15.85m/52-0) at the Tyson Invitational... Competed in her first conference meet in both the shot put and weight throw.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered four times in track and field and twice in basketball as a junior and senior at Klein Cain High School … set personal bests of 46-5.5 in the shot put, 156-4 in the discus and 131-8 in the hammer coming out of high school … received the Culture of Commitment Outstanding Female Athlete award … earned first team All-District honors and the USATF Outstanding Athlete Award … a three-time USATF Junior Olympic All-American … finished third in the shot put at the 2018 USATF Junior Olympics, and followed it up with a silver medal in 2019 … also took fourth in the discus at the same meet in 2019 … won the shot put at the 2019 Texas Relays.
PERSONAL: Daughter of LaTanya and Michael Rhodes … has one brother, Michael Jr., and three sisters, Kiara, Kayla and Kacie … her uncle, Tony Jeffery, was a four-year letterman and wide receiver for the Texas Football program from 2001-04 … began competing in track and field at age 12 while in seventh grade … her two oldest sisters, mom and dad were all throwers growing up, so felt like she needed to follow suit … lists Longhorn Legend and 2016 Olympic shot put gold medalist Michelle Carter as her track and field inspiration … plans to study biochemistry and minor in African American Studies … wants to later earn her joins Ph.D/M.D. in order to become a biomedical scientist … enjoys reading fiction novels, volunteering in her community and yoga when not competing … graduated with honors from Klein Cain, finishing No. 7 in her class of 614 … also was an AP Scholar Award with Distinction recipient.
