OUTDOOR: Finished third at the Texas Relays in shot put with a throw of 18.98m (62-3.25)... Won the Cameron Burrell Alumni Invite with a throw of 18.86m (61-10.25) in shot put and was third in discus (53.63m / 175-11)... Finished fourth in shot put elite at the Mt. SAC Relays with a throw of 19.06m (62-6.50) and was sixth in discus with a PB of 55.75m (182-11)... Threw a personal best mark of 19.52m (640-.5) in shot put and 53.40m in discus at the Texas Invitational...
INDOOR: Began the season with a second-place finish in shot put with a throw of 18.21m (59-9) at the Rod McCravy Memorial meet.... Won the Dr. MLK Jr. Invite with a throw of 18.12m (59-5.5) in shot put... Finished fifth at the NM Collegiate Classic in the shot put with a throw of 17.73m (58-2)... Won the Eagle Elite Invite in shot put with a throw of 18.07m (59-3.5)... Finished third at the Big 12 Championships in shot put with a SB throw of 19.19m (62-11.50)...
2022-23 (Senior)
OUTDOOR: Opened with a PB in the discus with a throw of 53.90m (176-10) at the USF Bulls Invitational...Set a PB in the discus with a throw of 54.38m (178-5) and threw for 18.02m (59-1.5) in shot put at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays.... Was third in the discus throw (52.54m/172-4) and fifth in shot put (18.73m/61-5.5) at the Tom Jones Memorial... Finished second in the shot put at the Texas Invitational with his throw of 18.35m(60-2.5) and sixth in discus at 51.62m/169-4... Posted a pair of fifth-place finishes at the Big 12 Championships in the shot put with a throw of 18.84m (61-9.75) and the discus at 53.25m (174-8)... Qualified for the NCAA Championships on his final throw with a heave of 19.31m (63-4.25) in shot put and finished 21st at the NCAA Championships with a throw of 18.65m (61-2.25).
INDOOR: Opened the season with a throw of 18.77m (66-10.5) in shot at the Cardinal Classic to finish second... Won the Dr. MLK Jr. Invitational's shot put event with a throw of 18.49m (60-8) on his second throw of the competition... Climbed into the all-time performer list in shot to No. 8 with his throw of 19.49m (63-11.5) to finish third at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic... Finished seventh in shot with a toss of 18.47m (61-5.75) at the Tiger Paw Invite... Finished in third place at the Big 12 Championships in shot put with a throw of 19.17m (62-10.75)... Reached the NCAA Indoor Championships in the shot put...
2021-22 (Junior)
OUTDOOR: Won the shot put at the Longhorn Invitational at 17.81m (58-5.25) with an outdoor personal best and finished fourth in discus at 50.32m (165-01)... Finished eighth in both the shot put (18.55m/60-10.5) and the discus (49.26m/161-7) at the Texas Relays. Competed in the shot put, discus and hammer in the dual meet against Texas A&M... Finished sixth in the shot put at the Mt. SAC Relays with his throw of 18.28m (59-11.75). Finished fourth with a personal-best in the discus at 51.92m (170-4) and eighth in the shot put at 18.36m (60-3) at the LSU Invitational… Finished seventh in the shot put at the Big 12 Championships with a throw of 18.14m and ninth in discus helping Texas to a team title.. Through a personal-best 19.04m in shot at the NCAA West Prelims…
INDOOR: Recorded a top-10 finish in the shot put at the Clemson Invitational with a throw of 16.98m (55'8.5")... Finished with a personal-best throw in the shot put at the Red Raider Open at 18.00m (59'0.75"), resulting in a fifth-place performance... Recorded a mark of 17.96m (58-11.25) in the shot put at the Tiger Paw Invite... Was the runner-up in the men's shot put at the Big 12 Championships with a personal-best throw of 18.90m (62-0.25) at the Big 12 Championships.
2020-21 (Sophomore)
OUTDOOR: Competed at seven outdoor meets... Began outdoor with a second place finish in shot put (16.61m/54'6") and fifth in discus (48.28m/158'5")... Finished third in shot at Texas Relays (16.57m/54'4.5") and seventh in discus (50.18m/164'7")... Won the shot put in the dual meet against Texas A&M at 17.65m/57'11", finished fifth in discus and fourth with a personal-best in hammer at 32.32m/106'0"... Took third in shot at 17.55m/57'7" annd eighth in discus at 49.51m/162'5" at the Michael Johnson Invitational... Competed at the LSU Alumni Gold Meet in the shot put and discus... Recorded a personal-best mark in the shot put at 17.69m/58'0.5" to finish second annd fourth in discus at 50.85m/165'11" at the Texas Invitational... Finished fifth in shot at the Big 12 Championships and ninth in discus with a personal-best toss of 51.95m/169'3".
INDOOR: Competed in five indoor meets, all in shot put for the Longhorns... Started the season with a third-place finish at the Texas Tech Corky Classix at 17.19m/56''4.75"... Took fourth at the Wooo Pig Classic with a mark of 17.31m/56.9.5"... Placed fifth at the Charlie Thomas Invitational at 16.30m/53'1.75"... Was sixth at the Tyson Invitational at 14.60m/47'11"... Finished 12th at the Big 12 Championships with his mark of 14.60m/47'11".
2019-20 (Freshman)
OUTDOOR: 2020 season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic.
INDOOR: Threw five times in his first collegiate season … debuted with a 16.01m/52-6.5 effort in the shot put at the Leonard Hilton Invitational in January … finished third in the field … took fifth at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Collegiate Invitational with a 15.98m/52-5.25 effort … took sixth place at the Tiger Paw Invitational over Valentine’s Day weekend … placed 13th in the shot put at the Big 12 Championships.
HIGH SCHOOL: Won the Texas state shot put title as a senior at The Woodlands … also finished second and seventh the two years prior … finished fifth in the discus his senior year, third as a junior.
PERSONAL: Son of Adrian and Elizabeth Piperi … father, Adrian, played football at Houston … has one brother, Tripp, and one sister, Lillie … Tripp is also a thrower at Texas and was the 2019 NCAA Outdoor shot put champion … originally started track and field as a way to stay in shape for football … enjoys making music when away from the track … majoring in sports management.
