AS A SENIOR (2012-13)
• Helped UT's Boat A to third place (30:27) at the Fighting Nutria (Feb. 9, 2013)
• Paced UT's first varsity 4+ to fifth place in the championship 4+ (18:26.3) and helped the first varsity 8+ to fourth place in the championship 8+ (16:35.4) at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 3-4, 2012)
• Teamed up with Brenna Coldren to place 25th (21:39.0) in the open 2- at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 3-4, 2012)
• Led the first varsity 8+ to victory in the women[apos]s open 8+ (13:52.1) at the Head of the Colorado (Oct. 27, 2012)
• Helped UT's varsity 8+ to 22nd place in the championship 8+ (17:49.376) at the Head of the Charles (Oct. 21, 2012)
• Paced the first varsity 8+ to fourth place in the collegiate 8+ (15:08.017) at the Head of the Oklahoma (Sept. 29, 2012)
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11)
- split her time between the first and second varsity eight and the first and second varsity four boats
- propelled the first varsity four boat to a win (20:04.1) at the Head of the Colorado (Oct. 30, 2010)
- competed in three races at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 6-7, 2010) ... the first open eight boat placed fifth (16:36.1) ... the second varsity eight boat placed ninth (16:29.5), as did the first varsity four (18:04.6)
- propelled the second varsity eight boat to a third-place finish (30:13.3) at the Fighting Nutria (Feb. 12, 2011)
- paced the second varsity eight crew to a second-place finish ( 3:11.7) at the Heart of Texas (March 5, 2011)
- led the second varsity eight boat to three wins and one loss at the Longhorn Invitational (March 18-20, 2011), besting Louisville (7:30.1), Iowa (7:11.0) and San Diego (7:12.7), but falling to Wisconsin (7:22.6)
- lifted two Texas boats to a win at the dual race with Kansas (April 2, 2011) in the second varsity eights (6:54.1) and the second varsity fours (7:53.0)
- participated in the Virginia Invitational (April 16-17, 2011) with UT's second varsity eight boat, which lost to lost to UCLA and Michigan State, but won its race against Clemson, (6:57.6)
- led the second varsity eight boat to a win (6:55.9) at the Big 12 Championship (April 30, 2011), which helped Texas secure the conference title
- propelled Texas to a Conference USA title with a win in the second varsity eights race (6:38.8) on May 14, 2011
AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10)
- rowed in the first novice eight boat in six races, including the Big 12 Championship, where the crew won in 7:00.7
BEFORE TEXAS
Member of the varsity softball and basketball teams at Earl Warren HS in San Antonio, Texas ... member of the National Honor Society, Spanish National Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta Honor Society.

Full name is Chelsea Burns ... born Aug. 16, 1991 in Weisbaden, Germany ... is the daughter of James and Susan Burns ... has an older sister, Shauna, and a younger sister, Tara ... majoring in audiology ... was named to Conference USA's All-Academic Team in 2011 ... four-time selection to Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
