• Helped Boat B to fourth place (30:39) at the Fighting Nutria (Feb. 9, 2013)
• Paced the first varsity 8+ to fourth place in the championship 8+ (16:35.4) and helped the second varsity 4+ to third place (18:18.2) at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 3-4, 2012)
• Teamed with Katarina Susac to place 10th in the open 2- (20:49.4) at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 3-4, 2012)
• Led the first varsity 8+ to victory in the open 8+ (13:52.1) at the Head of the Colorado (Oct. 27, 2012)
• Helped UT[apos]s varsity 8+ to 22nd place in the championship 8+ (17:49.376) at the Head of the Charles (Oct. 21, 2012)

AS A JUNIOR (2011-12)
• Paced the first varsity 8+ to second place (6:54.03) at the Big 12 Championships
• Led the first varsity 8+ defeat UCF and San Diego on day two of the Longhorn Invitational
• Helped the first varsity 8+ defeat Kansas State (7:20.7) on day one of the Longhorn Invitational
AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11)
- named to the CRCA All-South Region First Team
- spent most of her sophomore season in the first varsity eight boat
- paced the second varsity four to a third place finish ( 15:32.542) and the first varsity eight to a third-place finish (14:12.219) at the Head of the Oklahoma (Oct. 9, 2010)
- advanced the first varsity eight to a first-place finish (17:07) at the Head of the Colorado (Oct. 30, 2010)
- rowed the third varsity four crew (18:09.5) to a 12th place finish at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 6-7, 2010)
- lifted Texas[apos] first eight to a first-place finish (28:56.9) at the Fighting Nutria (Feb. 12, 2011)
- propelled the first eight boat to a first-place finish (3:07.1) at the Heart of Texas (March 5, 2011)
- paced UT[apos]s first varsity eight boat to wins over Louisville (7:15.1), Iowa (7:06.9), Wisconsin (7:09.7) and San Diego ( 7:02.6) at the Longhorn Invitational (March 18-20, 2011)
- helped Texas[apos] first varsity eight crew to a win over Kansas (6:45.3) in the dual meet (April 2, 2011)
- rowed at the Virginia Invitational (April 16-17, 2011) in the first varsity eight boat, for wins over UCLA (7:16.7) and Clemson (6:45.6), but fell to Michigan State (7:40.1)
- propelled the first eight to a victory (6:47.7) at the Big 12 Championship to help clench the conference title (April 30, 2011)
- advanced the first varsity eight crew to the conference title in 6:28.8 at the Conference USA Championship on (May 14, 2011)
AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10)
- competed on the second varsity eight boat, but was promoted to the first varsity eight boat during the spring of her freshman season
- paced the third varsity eight to a seventh-place finish at the Boot of the Oklahoma (Oct. 31, 2009), clocking a time of 15:01.256
- clocked a time of 15:58.7 and finished second with the second varsity eight at the Head of the Colorado (Oct. 31, 2009)
- paced the second varsity eight to a sixth-place finish (14:40.8) at the Head of the Hooch (Nov. 7, 2009) and propelled the second varsity four crew to 12th place (16:29.7)
- stroked the second varsity eight to a second-place finish in 29:36 at the Fighting Nutria (Feb. 20, 2010)
- propelled the third varsity eight to third place (3:18.30) at the Heart of Texas (March 6, 2010)
- moved to the first varsity eight for the Longhorn Invitational (March 19, 2009) and defeated UCF, 7:20.90-to-7:32:00, Oklahoma, 6:24.40-to-6:27.40, Iowa, 6:35.30-to-6:44.20 and lost to Louisville, 6:37.0-to-6:41.69.
- helped the first varsity eight post the best time of the day, defeating Kansas, 6:46.2-to-7:08 (March 27, 2009)
- aided the first varsity eight to win the Big 12 Championship with a time of 6:41.12
BEFORE TEXAS
Three-sport athlete at Tabor Academy in Marion, Mass., rowed and played basketball from 2006-2009 and ran cross country from 2008-2009 ... member of the honor roll ... participated in the Freshman National Team Camp during the 2010 summer.

Full name is Laurel McCaig ... born on Sept. 6, 1990...daughter of Scott and Diana McCaig ... has three younger siblings, Alexander (19), Gunnar (18) and Kristen (14) ... father, Scott, was a rower at Boston University and brother, Alexander, rows at Marietta College ... is a history major ... three-time selection to the Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
