Why Texas?
“I chose Texas because McCombs is a stellar business school and places an emphasis on research, innovation, social involvement and hands-on industry experience. I also have fond memories of visiting UT and Austin, and it's always felt like home.”
What led you to pursue rowing and what do you love most about it?
“I played volleyball most of my life, including middle school and high school, and loved being part of a team. When I first watched rowing, I fell in love with the elegant gliding across the water, with seemingly effortless movements. However, as an athlete, I could sense the strength, dedication, and the team effort behind those perfect artistic movements, and that’s what most inspired me to join the rowing team at UT. With every stroke, every blister, every aching muscle, I feel closer to my teammates, all of us passionately working in unison, to perfect the art of rowing; I couldn’t ask for a better team sport!”
