Played 29 total minutes and registered one shot over two matches ... Registered her second career shot in 22 minutes of action in the 8-0 rout of Texas Southern (Sept. 15) ... Was on the pitch for seven ticks of the clock during the 5-0, season-opening win over Lipscomb (Aug. 18).
SOPHOMORE (2021)
Was on the pitch for 86 total minutes over five matches ... Reached double figures with a season-high 38 minutes during the 4-0 rout of New Mexico State (Sept. 2), 22 minutes in the 7-0 rout of UTRGV (Sept. 12) and 13 ticks on the clock in the season-opening loss at UCF (Aug. 19).
FRESHMAN (2020-21)
Played 54 total minutes as a sub over four matches against Kansas State (Oct. 9), Texas State (March 5, 2021), at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (March 26, 2021) and at Baylor (April 1, 2021) ... Managed her first career shot at Texas A&M-CC and earned her first collegiate playing time through a career-high 17 minutes against K-State.
CLUB
Coming in at No. 15 in the Rocky Mountains & Southwest Region and No. 142 in the Top Drawer Soccer IMG Academy Top 150 national recruit rankings, Vander Ven played club soccer for head coach Jared Spiers and Real Colorado DA … With her club program, she was a part of a 2018 DA Girls Soccer National Championship and three Colorado State Cup titles while also spending time at the U.S. Market Training Center.
HIGH SCHOOL
For Highlands Ranch H.S., she was named Colorado High School Athletic Association (CHSAA) Honorable Mention All-State, All-Continental League First Team and an all-league athlete back in 2017.
PERSONAL
Born on January 15, 2002 … Parents are Matt and Sheri Vander Ven … Has two siblings, a twin brother Jackson and Taylor … Her father played soccer at the University of Wisconsin (1991-94), while her grandfather, Gary Adams (1966-68), and her cousin, Hayden Hill, both played football at the University of Arkansas … Vander Ven was a member of the National Honor Society, Spanish Honor Society and Mu Alpha Theta (math honors fraternity) …Cites winning the 2018 DA Girls National Championship as her greatest personal athletic achievement to date … She and her twin brother Jackson were the first boy/girl twins in Colorado to ever win state championships during the same year.
