Was on the pitch for 164 total minutes over 14 matches during her junior campaign ... Fired six total shots, including three on frame ... Credited with a shot on goal over 10 minutes of action during the 2-1 Big 12 Championship final loss to TCU (Nov. 7) ... Played at least eight minutes in four different Big 12 Conference matches (Texas Tech, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, at Kansas) ... Credited with a shot on frame over a season-high 25 minutes during the 7-0 romp over UTRGV (Sept. 12) ... Was on the pitch for 20-plus minutes against both New Mexico State (Sept. 2) and at Florida (Aug. 22).

INTERNATIONAL
Akindoju brought along a decorated international resume to the Forty Acres, having scored 11 career goals while spending time with the Canadian Women’s U-15, U-17 and U-20 National Teams … In August 2019, she participated in a Canada U-20 Excel Camp in British Columbia to continue prep for the 2020 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup … The Halifax, Nova Scotia, native played with the Canadian U-17 National Team at the 2018 FIFA Under-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay, where she started three of her team’s matches against Colombia (group stage), Spain (group stage) and Mexico (knockout round) as Canada eventually finished fourth … Akindoju spent time with the Canada U-20’s at the CONCACAF U-20 Women’s Championship, earning three caps from Jan. 18-26, 2018, and with the Canada U-17’s while earning a bronze medal at the 2018 CONCACAF U-17 Women’s Championship (five caps, one goal against Mexico on June 10) from April 20-June 12, 2018 … With Canada, on the way to a bronze medal at the 2016 CONCACAF U-17 Women’s Championship, Akindoju scored a hat trick during a 7-0 victory over host Grenada on March 16 … She was also a part of Canadian National Teams that won gold at the 2014 CONCACAF Women’s U-15 Championship and silver at the 2016 CONCACAF Women’s U-15 Championship as well as with the Nova Scotia Women’s Soccer Team that earned bronze at the 2017 Canada Games.

She was a part of the same Vancouver Whitecaps FC Girls Elite REX program that helped produce current Longhorns Julia Grosso and Emma Regan … During her time with the club, Akindoju was honored with the 2015, 2016 & 2018 Ricoh Sports Award and the 2018 Support4Sports Award as the female team athlete of the year … She participated in the 2019 Blue Stars Tournament in Zurich, Switzerland, starting four-of-five matches while scoring against FC Wolfsburg.

Born on July 8, 2001 … Parents are Yemi and Toyin Akindoju … Has two siblings, Korede and Sope … Teni was born in Nigeria, but immigrated to Canada with her parents in 2001 when she was just 12 weeks old … Her sister, Sope, played soccer for Jacksonville University from 2014-17, scoring seven goals as a senior on her way to A-Sun Conference Second Team honors … Cites Canada qualifying for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup as her greatest personal athletic achievement to date.
