• connected for 12 kills and added nine digs and two blocks as Texas downed No. 23 Long Beach State, 3-2 (Sept. 4)
• registered 10 kills and seven digs in a 3-2 win over No. 9 Iowa State (Sept. 29)
• tallied 13 kills, five digs and three blocks in the Horns[apos] 3-1 loss at No. 3 Nebraska (Oct. 2)
• posted 10 kills on .529 hitting and added two assists and four digs as UT swept Kansas State (Oct. 9)
• totaled 17 kills on .500 hitting and chipped in two aces, six digs and two blocks in a sweep of Texas Tech (Oct. 16)

Selected to the 19-member 2008 U.S. Women[apos]s Junior National Volleyball Training Team in the Spring of 2008 with Texas teammate Michelle Kocher ... trained with the USA Youth National A2 team in the summer of 2007.

A three-sport letterwinner at Wagner High School where she played volleyball for former Longhorn and four-time All-American Demetria Sance Padgitt ... garnered Texas Girls Coaches Association All-State honors in 2007 ... two-time first-team All-District 26-5A selection ... named to the 2007 San Antonio Express-News Super Team ... headlined Wagner in 2007 with a team-best 554 kills and 322 digs ... as a junior, she paced Wagner[apos]s attack in its first varsity season, leading the club with 365 kills on .313 hitting and adding 241 digs and 23 solo blocks ... played club volleyball for the 18 Kaepa Alamo Volleyball club ... garnered 2008 Nike, Adidas and BCI All-America honors in basketball ... earned all-district, all-city, all-region and all-state honors in basketball her senior season ... led Wagner to the 2008 5A State basketball semifinals ... garnered unanimous all-district honors on the hardwood in 2007 ... ranked No. 5 in the nation in the high jump in 2008 ... two-time District 26-5A high jump champion ... 2007 Regional high jump champion and a two-time top-5 finisher at state, earning third place in 2007 and fifth place in 2006 ... first-team all-state, all-region and all-district honoree in the high jump as a senior ... member of the National Honor Society.

Full name is Amber Cherie Roberson ... born Jan. 24, 1990 in Las Cruces, N.M. ... daughter of John and Lisa Roberson ... has four sisters, Ashlee (23), Arielle (18), Aaliyah (7) and Arianna (5) and two brothers, Andre (19) and Anthony (16) ... her father played collegiate basketball at New Mexico State (1985-89) before going on to play professionally overseas ... her mother played volleyball at New Mexico State (1985-89) ... her sister Ashlee played forward for the Texas Tech women[apos]s basketball team from 2006-10 ... her brother Andre is a sophomore basketball player at Colorado ... two-time Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll selection ... education major.
