Brown announces three staff promotions

AUSTIN, Texas -- University of Texas Head Coach Mack Brown has announced the promotion of three returning Longhorns assistant coaches.
Mac McWhorter, who is in his fourth year on the staff and will continue to coach the offensive line, has been promoted to associate head coach.
Bruce Chambers, who is entering his eighth year on the staff and will continue to coach the tight ends, has been promoted to recruiting coordinator.
Bobby Kennedy, who is in his second year on the staff and will continue to coach the wide receivers, has been promoted to assistant recruiting coordinator.
First-year Co-Defensive Coordinator Gene Chizik is the assistant head coach along with linebackers coach.
