May 2, 1975: UT earns a doubleheader sweep of Plano University by recording back-to-back shutouts (3-0, 5-0) at Disch-Falk Field to begin a stretch in which the Horns would go 16-1 en route to claiming the 1975 National Championship.
May 3, 1950: Texas scores a school-record 16 runs in second inning of game against Baylor en route to posting a 22-1 victory over the Bears.
May 4, 1946: Bobby Layne pitches his, as well as the school's, second no-hitter in a 2-1 victory over Texas A&M. Notably, he allowed an unearned run during the sixth inning of that contest while only walking two and striking out 14 opposing batters.
May 6, 1955: All-Southwest Conference pitcher Tommy Jungman sets a UT single-game record by pitching 17 innings in a game at SMU that the Longhorns narrowly lost by a score of 1-0.
May 14, 1927: The Longhorns end their tenure at the original Clark Field with a 10-6 win over TCU.
May 15 & 16, 1981: Larry Long records nine at bats during UT's two day, 20-inning game against Rice during the Southwest Conference Tournament to set an individual game school record. Of note, that record has since been matched by Longhorns Seth Johnston and Drew Stubbs during Texas' 20-inning contest at Kansas State on April 9-10, 2004, which tied the game against the Owls for the longest contest in Texas baseball history.
May 17, 1974: Texas wins it final two games at Clark Field II with a doubleheader sweep over Lubbock Christian (8-2 and 11-6).
May 22, 1983: UT records back-to-back victories over Mississippi State during the NCAA Central Regional in Austin (7-0, 12-3) to advance the the College World Series - where the Longhorns would go on to capture their fourth national title.
May 22, 2004: Texas clinches its second Big 12 regular-season title in the last three seasons with a 12-9 victory over Texas A&M in College Station, Texas.
May 24, 1996: With his final win as head coach at The University of Texas (a 4-2 triumph over Sam Houston State during the NCAA Central Regional Tournament in Austin), Cliff Gustafson establishes the current school record for coaching victories (1,427).
May 25, 2003: The Longhorns and senior Dustin Majewski make it 2-for-2 at the Big 12 Tournament as Texas wins its second straight league tourney title and Majewski is named the tournament MVP for the second consecutive year behind a 10-8 victory in 10 innings over Baylor at the Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City, Okla. Of note, then-sophomore Curtis Thigpen caps off a 5-for-5 day with a one-out, walk-off, two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th inning against the Bears.
May 26, 2002: Texas wins its first ever Big 12 Tournament Championship with a 9-6 victory over Nebraska in 10 innings at the Ballpark in Arlington (Arlington, Texas).
May 28, 2000: The Longhorns win their first NCAA Regional Tournament title since 1993 by defeating Arizona State twice in one day during the regional tournament in Tempe, Ariz.(6-4 and 9-7).
