TEAM NOTES
- Texas' victory over No. 1 Oklahoma marked the time the Longhorns have defeated a No. 1 team in the regular season since Oct. 12, 1963, a 28-7 win over Oklahoma.
- Texas opened the season with six straight wins for the second time in Mack Brown's tenure.
- Texas defeated the No. 1 team in the nation for the first time since toppling No. 1 USC, 41-38 in the Rose Bowl to claim the 2005 National Championship.
- Texas' 45 points was the most for the Longhorns in a Red River Rivalry game, equaling the 45 points in 2005.
- After rushing for -3 yards in the first half, Texas rebounded for 164 yards in the second half.
- Texas has taken a 58-40-5 lead in the series with Oklahoma and has won three of the last four.
- Texas has taken a 48-36-4 lead in the series with Oklahoma in games played in Dallas.
- Texas has scored 281 points over its first six games, the most for Texas since 1915 (308).
- With Quan Cosby (122) and Jordan Shipley (112), Texas had two players with over 100 receiving yards in a game for the first time since Sept. 13, 2003 when B.J. Johnson (123) and Roy Williams (117) did the deed against Arkansas.
- Cosby and Shipley became the first duo to log over 100 receiving yards each in a Red River Rivalry game.
- With the win, Mack Brown racked up his 195th career victory. He moved into sole possession 22nd place and is one win shy of Fielding Yost (196) for 21st place.
- Texas has produced at least 400 yards of total offense in 65 of its last 96 games. The Longhorns are 88-2 when recording more than 400 yards of total offense in the Mack Brown era.
- With nine receptions, Colt McCoy and Quan Cosby have tied the UT record for completions between a QB and a WR with 140, eclipsing the number of 131 between Chris Simms and Roy Williams (2000-02).
- Texas held a team under 50 yards rushing for the fifth time this season and the 35th time since 1990.
- Texas logged two interceptions in the game after logging just two through the first five games.
- Texas won the time of possession in all four quarters, holding the ball for over nine minutes in each of the first three quarters.

Quan Cosby
- Cosby caught a pass in his 37th consecutive game.
- Cosby logged his second 100-yard receiving effort of the season and the fourth of his career.

- With his 122 receiving yards, Cosby became passed Limas Sweed (1,915) on the UT career list and became the fifth player in school history to log over 2,000 career yards, ending the game with 2,013.
- With his three kickoff returns, Cosby set a UT career record with 64 surpassing Mike Adams who had 63 from 1992-96.
- Cosby's 122 receiving yards was the eighth most by a player in a Red River Rivalry game and the fourth most by a UT player.

Cody Johnson
- Johnson extended his UT freshman running back record by rushing for a TD in each of his first six games.
- Johnson's six consecutive games with a rushing TD is the longest UT string since Cedric Benson rushed for TDs in six consecutive games in 2004.
- Johnson's nine rushing TDs this season rank fifth on UT's single-season chart. Cedric Benson holds the record with 12 in 2001.
- Johnson tied a UT single-game freshman record with three rushing TDs, equaling Jamaal Charles against Rice in 2005 and Butch Hadnot against Houston in 1990.
- Lawrence is now 7-of-7 on field goals and 28-of-28 on PATs this season.
- Lawrence attempted and made multiple field goals for the first time in a game, making 3-of-3.
Colt McCoy
- McCoy moved his career record as a starter to 26-6. He is now tied with Chris Simms (26-6) and Marty Akins (26-9) for third place on the UT all-time list.
- McCoy increased his UT career TD pass record to 68 with one TD pass in the game. He now has 17 on the season.
- McCoy recorded his 22nd career 200-yard passing game and his fifth of the season.
- McCoy became the fifth UT quarterback to amass over 1,000 rushing yards in a career, ending the game with 1,010 yards.
- - McCoy's 68 career passing TDs are eclipsed Major Applewhite for the most thrown by a Texas QB. Officially, Applewhite tallied 62 TDs during his career, but if you included bowl games, he posted 67 TD passes.
- McCoy thrown a TD pass in 29 of his 32 starts.
- McCoy has thrown a TD pass in 10 consecutive games, tied for second on UT's all-time list. The school record is 19 by Major Applewhite (1998-99).
- With 277 passing yards, McCoy moved into third on UT's all-time passing list with 7,430 yards, moving ahead of Peter Gardere (7,396 - 1989-92).
- With 28 completions, McCoy set the UT career record with 624, passing Major Applewhite who ended his career with 611.
Chris Ogbonnaya
- Ogbonnaya's 128 rushing yards are a career high. His previous best was 71 yards against Colorado last week.
- Ogbonnaya's 62-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter was the longest of his career, bettering his 51-yard run last week against Colorado.
- Ogbonnaya has rushed for 199 yards on 24 carries and two TDs the last two weeks.
- Ogbonnaya rushed for 119 yards in the second half after rushing for eight yards in the first half.
- Ogbonnaya set a career high with 15 carries, his previous best was nine last week against Colorado.
- Ogbonnaya went over 150 all-purpose yards for the second consecutive game.
Jordan Shipley
- Shipley set a record for most receptions in a Red River Rivalry game with 11.
- Shipley has now caught at least one TD pass in all six games this season.
- With his TD reception, Shipley tied Roy Williams (2002-03) for second on UT's all-time list of consecutive games with a TD reception at six.
- Shipley's 96-yard kickoff return for a TD was the first of his career.
- The 96-yard kickoff return was the third-longest in UT history and the longest by any player in a Red River Rivalry game.
- Shipley's 11 receptions are a career-high. His previous best was eight against Arkansas earlier this season.
- Shipley logged over 100 receiving yards for the second time in his career.
- Shipley's 16-yard TD reception in the first quarter was his eighth of the season (6th - UT) and the 17th of his career (3rd - UT).
- Shipley's 225 all-purpose yards were a career-high eclipsing his 155 against Rice.
