TEAM NOTES
- Texas opened the season with seven straight wins for the second time in Mack Brown's tenure, joining 2005.
- Texas was playing its 38th game as the AP's top-ranked squad and is now 29-6-3 in those games.
- Texas is 21-4 (.840) in its last 25 games versus Top 25 opponents, including a 15-2 (.882).
- Texas owns a 16-5 advantage in the all-time series against Missouri, including a 9-2 mark in Austin.

Dan Buckner

John Chiles
- Chiles' 51-yard TD pass was a career long. His previous long was a 29-yard TD against Florida Atlantic.
- Chiles' TD pass was the second of his career and the season.
- Chiles' 51-passing yards were a career high, topping his 49 yards against Florida Atlantic in the season opener.

Brandon Collins
- Set career bests for receptions (6), receiving yards (76) and longest reception (38).

Quan Cosby
- Cosby caught a pass in his 38th consecutive game. It is the second-longest streak in school history behind Roy Williams' 47 from 2000-03).
- Cosby caught seven or more passes for the third consecutive game and the fifth time this season.
- Cosby set a school record for career kickoff return yards with 1,627, passing Mike Adams (1,591).
- Cosby extended his school career record for kickoff returns to 67.
- With seven receptions, Colt McCoy and Quan Cosby extended their UT record for completions between a QB and a WR with 147.
- Cosby became the eighth player in school history to log over 4,000 all-purpose yards for a career and ended the game with 4,086.

John Gold*
- Gold's 55-yard punt was a career long, besting a 54-yarder against Arkansas.
Cody Johnson
- Johnson extended his UT freshman running back record by rushing for a TD in each of his first seven games.
- Johnson's seven consecutive games with a rushing TD is tied for the fourth longest string in school history. Ricky Williams, Cedric Benson and Byron Townsend each logged 11-game strings. Benson also had a seven game string in 2002-03.
- Johnson's 10 rushing TDs this season is tied with Henry Melton (2005) for fourth on UT's single-season chart. Cedric Benson holds the record with 12 in 2001. Jamaal Charles (2005) and Vince Young (2003) both had 11 in their freshman seasons.

Sergio Kindle
- Kindle increased his season sack total to 4.5 and his career total to 5.0 with his sack.

Hunter Lawrence
- Lawrence is now 39-of-39 on PATs this season.

Colt McCoy
- McCoy set a school record with 17 consecutive pass completions. The record was 15 set by Vince Young in 2005 and tied by McCoy in 2006. McCoy also set the single-game record for consecutive pass completions with the 17. He held the previous mark with 13 against both Florida Atlantic and Rice this season.
- McCoy moved his career record as a starter to 27-6. He is now in third place, one win shy of Bobby Layne (28-6) and three wins shy of Vince Young (30-2).
- McCoy increased his UT career TD pass record to 70 with one TD pass in the game. He now has 19 on the season.
- McCoy recorded his 23rd career 200-yard passing game and his sixth of the season.
- McCoy recorded his sixth career 300-yard passing game and his second of the season.
- With his two TD passes and two TD rushes, McCoy set the UT career record for TDs responsible for with 82. He has 70 career TD passes and 12 career TD rushes. The previous record was 81 held by Vince Young.
- McCoy thrown a TD pass in 30 of his 33 starts.
- McCoy was 9-of-9 for 131 yards and two TD passes in the second quarter.
- McCoy has thrown a TD pass in 11 consecutive games, second on UT's all-time list. The school record is 19 by Major Applewhite (1998-99).
- McCoy's 337 passing yards was nine shy of his career high of 346 against Oklahoma State in 2006. The tally ranks 14th in school history.
- With 29 completions, McCoy increased his school-record for career completions to 653.

Vondrell McGee
- McGee's first two rushes each went for 20 or more yards, including a season-high 21 yards on his second carry.

Jared Norton
- Norton increased his season sack total to 2.5 and his career total to 3.5 with his sack.

Chris Ogbonnaya
- Ogbonnaya's two TD runs gave him three on the season and seven for his career. It was his first career game with multiple rushing TDs.
- Ogbonnaya hauled in his 50th career reception in the game. He ended the game 54 receptions.
- Ogbonnaya equaled a career high with six receptions. He previously caught six balls against Colorado earlier this season.
- Ogbonnaya went over 130 all-purpose yards for the third consecutive game.

Ryan Palmer
- Thomas recorded his second reception of the season and the third of his career.

Jordan Shipley
- With his 13-yard TD reception with 0:41 remaining in the second quarter, Shipley tied a school record with a TD catch in his seventh consecutive game. Limas Sweed set the school mark in 2006.
- Shipley's TD reception was his eighth of the season (4th - UT) and the 18th of his career (3rd - UT).

Malcolm Williams
- Williams 32-yard TD reception was the first of his career.

Attendance: 98,383 - UT's 50th consecutive sellout and largest home crowd in UT history.
