POST-ROUND QUOTES
HEAD COACH Martha Richards
On the team's overall performance: Overall, I've been really pleased with the quality of golf we've been playing here. We had a few more birdie looks today, but we were lipping quite a few edges. I'm seeing lots of good shots, and we look like we're really close to getting hot. I'm hoping that's tomorrow, because we'd love to end the fall season with a below-par round and with the way we were burning edges today, I have to think we're onto something.
Tomorrow, we just need to do more of the same. We spent some time on our putting this afternoon, and we'll talk about it a little in the morning. We just have to get those putters hot and be in the mindset to give ourselves a lot of good looks and knock them in.
On freshman Nicole Vandermade: Nicole hit the ball really well today and had a ton of good birdie looks. I saw her burning the edges the most, and I look for her to get hot tomorrow. I've been really pleased with her poise and composure. She has a good game plan and just needs a few of those putts to drop.
On senior Kristin Walla: Kristin had a great round today at 1-under. She played really solid golf, and she got some much wanted revenge on the back nine after not playing it very well yesterday.
