AUSTIN, Texas -- Seniors Caney Hines and Kelley Louth each carded tournament-best scores of 2-over-par 74 en route to Texas' 19-stroke victory (306-325) over Texas State in an 18-hole stroke play event at The University of Texas Golf Club on Sunday.

POST-ROUND QUOTES
Head Coach Martha Richards
On the team's overall performance: I think we did some really good things today, especially considering the conditions we were playing in. I'm very pleased with Caney and Kelley's rounds. To shoot 74s on this golf course today with this wind and some tricky hole locations was a display of some really great golf. I'm excited for them. Overall, I saw a lot of really good golf, but we still have some work to do.
On preparing for the UCF Challenge: It was good to get a day of competition in before we tee it up in Florida next weekend. Anytime you can tee it up in a competitive round against another team helps you assess what you need to work on. We're going to have three good days of practice before we get on that airplane, and I think we have a pretty clear picture of what we need to work on.
