TEAM NOTES
- Mack Brown became the 19th Football Bowl Subdivision coach in NCAA history to earn 200 career victories.
- Texas held Texas A&M to -24 rushing yards, the sixth time since 1990 an opponent has been held for negative rushing yardage, all during the Mack Brown era.

Sam Acho
- Acho logged his third sack of the season and moved his career total to 4.5.

Brandon Collins
- Collins logged his first career 100-yard receiving game. His previous career-high was 78 yards against Missouri.
- Collins equaled a career-high with six receptions. His previous career-high was six against Missouri.
- Collins' 20-yard TD reception in the second quarter was his third of the season.
Quan Cosby
- Cosby has caught a pass in 43 consecutive games, which ranks third nationally and second on UT's all-time list.
- Cosby has caught at least three passes in 26 of his last 30 games.
- Cosby (78) and Shipley (79) became the top single-season receiving duo in school history with 157 catches, passing Kwame Cavil (100) and Ryan Nunez (56) who combined for 156 receptions in 1999.
- Cosby (952) and Shipley (982) became the top single-season receiving duo in school history with 1,934 receiving yards, passing Wane McGarity (1,087) and Kwame Cavil (775) who combined for 1,862 receptions in 1998.
- Cosby's nine-yard TD reception was his eighth of the season and the 17th of his career. The 17 career TD receptions ranks fourth on UT's all-time list.
- Cosby moved into sixth place on the UT single-season receiving yards list with 952 yards, passing Mike Adams on the list three times. Adams had 942 receiving yards in 1996, 908 in 1993 and 876 in 1995.
- Cosby moved into third place on the UT career receiving yards list with 2,427, passing B.J. Johnson who logged 2,389 yards from 2000-03.
- Cosby became the seventh player in school history to eclipse the 4,500-yard plateau in all-purpose yardage.
John Gold*
- Gold's 59-yard punt was a career long, topping the 58-yard punt he had against Kansas.
Lamarr Houston
- Houston logged his second sack of the season and moved his career total to 7.5.
Cody Johnson
- Johnson's 1-yard and 23-yard TD runs at the beginning of the fourth quarter gave him 12 of the season, tying Cedric Benson (2001) for the UT freshman rushing TD record.
- Johnson's 102 rushing yards was a career-high, topping the 57 yards he logged against Rice.
- Johnson's 61-yard run was a career long, topping the 16-yard run he had against Rice.
Hunter Lawrence
- Lawrence moved to a perfect 57-of-57 for extra-point attempts in his career.
Colt McCoy
- McCoy moved his career record as a starter to 31-7, passing Vince Young (30-2) on UT's all-time victories list.
- McCoy became the second player in UT history to log over 4,000 yards of total offense in a season. He ended the game with 4,021, trailing only Vince Young's 4,086 yards in 2005.
- With 311 passing yards, McCoy set the UT single-season record with 3,445 yards. He topped the career record of 3,357 yards set by Major Applewhite in 1999.
- McCoy has thrown for at least 300 yards in nine games, tying the UT career record set by Major Applewhite from 1998-2001.
- McCoy has thrown for at least 300 yards in five games this season, tying the record set by Major Applewhite in 1999.

Chris Ogbonnaya

- Ogbonnaya moved into a tie with Hodges Mitchell (1997-2000) for fourth place on the UT career list for receptions by a RB with 71, passing Cedric Benson (69 - 2001-04).
Brian Orakpo
- Orakpo logged his 10th sack of the season and moved his career total to 20.5.
- Orakpo caused his fourth fumble of the season and the sixth of his career.
Ryan Palmer
- Palmer recorded the third sack of his career, all coming this season.
Jordan Shipley
- Shipley moved into fifth place on the UT single-season receiving yards list with 982 yards, passing Mike Adams on the list twice. Adams had 942 receiving yards in 1996 and 908 in 1993.
- Shipley moved into ninth place on the UT career receiving yards list with 1,628 yards, passing Lovell Pinkney (1,580 - 1992-94) and Johnny "Lam" Jones (1,603 - 1976-79).
