TEAM NOTES
- Texas extended its streak of 10-win seasons to nine straight, which is the second longest streak of 10-win seasons in NCAA history, trailing only Florida State's 14-season string (1987-2000).
- Texas has started the year 10-0 for the second time in five years (joining the 2005 National Championship). Prior to 2005, the last time the Longhorns opened the year 10-0 was 1983. In 117 years of UT football, UT has opened the season 10-0 seven times (1963, 1969, 1970, 1977, 1983, 2005, 2009) and two of those have come during the Mack Brown era.
- Texas is now 12-0 against Baylor during the Mack Brown era.
- Texas has scored at least 40 points against Baylor in 10 of the last 11 games, while holding the Bears to 14 or less in nine of the last 11.
- Texas' first-team defense, which only played one drive into the second half, allowed just 41 total yards (-27r/68p) on 37 plays (1.1 ypp).
- Texas has held its opponents to 14 points or less in eight of 10 games this season, including seven straight.
- In the last seven games, the Texas defense has allowed an average of 191 total yards per game. Overall, the Horns have given up just 1,338 yards on 427 plays (3.1 ypp).
- Texas scored its 10th non-offensive TD of the season, which is the most in UT history and leads the nation. The Horns' defense also tallied a safety in the game.

Emmanuel Acho
- Acho's INT was the first of his career.
Sam Acho
- Acho's forced fumble that caused a safety was his second of the season and the third of his career.
Chykie Brown
- Brown's sack was his first of the season and the second of his career.
Cody Johnson
- Johnson's 19 attempts and 109 rushing yards are both career highs. It was Johnson's second career 100-yard rushing game.
- Johnson's two TD runs give him 11 for the season and 23 for his career.
- With 109 rushing yards and 19 receiving yards, Johnson tallied a career-high 128 total yards
Eddie Jones
- Jones' INT was his first of the season and the second of his career.
- Jones' 60-yard TD return on his INT was the first TD of his career.
James Kirkendoll
- Kirkendoll matched his career high with seven receptions.
Hunter Lawrence
- Lawrence converted a 41-yard field goal. He is now 17-of-20 on the season (.850), including 6-of-8 on attempts of 40 yards or more.
Colt McCoy
- With a 42-7 career record, McCoy moved into a tie with David Greene (Georgia - 42-10) on the Football Bowl Subdivision career victories list.
- Over the last four games, McCoy has completed 98-of-128 passes (76.6%) for 1,091 yards and eight TDs (2 INTs) for a passer rating of 165.7.
- McCoy's two TD passes give him 19 for the season and 104 for his career.
- McCoy extended his school-record streak to 27 consecutive games with a TD pass. His 27-game streak is the longest active streak in the nation.
- McCoy has thrown a TD pass in 46 of his 49 starts.
- McCoy has thrown at least two TD passes in 33 of his 49 starts.
- With two TD passes, McCoy has been responsible for 122 TDs during his career. He is tied for eighth with Florida's Danny Wuerffel on the NCAA career TDs responsible for list.
- McCoy ended the game with 13,747 yards of total offense, passing N.C. State's Philip Rivers (13,582) and Houston's Kevin Kolb (13,715) and moving into fifth place on the NCAA FBS career list.
Tre Newton
- Newton's 45-yard TD run was his fourth TD of the season. The 45-yard run was a career long.
Jordan Shipley
- Shipley's two TD receptions give him eight for the season and 28 for his career.
- With six receptions, Shipley now has 81 for the season, which ranks fourth on UT's single-season list. He is the only player in UT history that has produced two seasons with at least 80 catches (89 in 2008).
- Shipley moved into second on UT's all-time receptions list with 213 catches, passing Quan Cosby (212, 2005-08) and trailing only Roy Williams (241, 2000-03).
- With 46 receiving yards, Shipley now has 1,096 on the season, which ranks fourth on UT's single-season list.
Kenny Vaccaro
- Vaccaro's blocked punt was the first of his career.
Aaron Williams
- Williams' INT was his second of the season and the third of his career.
