TEAM NOTES
- Texas reached the 12-win mark in back-to-back seasons for the first time in school history.
- Texas reached the 12-win mark for the third time in school history (2005, 2008, 2009).
- Texas improved to 48-6 (.889) against teams from within the state's borders in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas improved to 60-20 (.750) away from home (road and neutral) over the last 12 years, the Longhorns 58-17 mark in road and neutral-site games since 1999 is the nation's best over that span.
- Texas improved 32-7 (.821) in November during the Mack Brown era.
- Texas scored offensive points in the last two minutes of the first half for ninth time in 12 regular season games.
- Texas improved to 75-36-5 all-time against Texas A&M, including 42-18-2 on Thanksgiving.
- Texas improved to 24-22-2 in College Station.
- Texas' 783 all-purpose yards was the sixth-best effort in school history. Texas also had 810 yards against UTEP this season.
- Texas logged its highest point total against Texas A&M since a 50-20 win in 2002.
- Texas logged its highest point total against at Kyle Field since a 57-28 win in 1977.
- Texas had two players rush for 100 yards (McCoy 175, Newton 107) in a game for the first time since Jamaal Charles (180) and McCoy (106) accomplished the feat at Oklahoma State on Nov. 3, 2007. It marked the 27th time in school history that two Horns rushed for 100 or more yards.
- Texas scored 40 or more points for the eighth time this season.
- Texas scored its 11th non-offensive TD of the season, which leads the nation and is the most in UT history. It was the sixth game this season the Horns scored a TD on special teams.
- Texas rolled up 500 or more yards of total offense for the 45th time in the Mack Brown era and the 68th time in the history of the program.
- Texas rolled up 597 of total offense, the Horns' second-highest total against Texas A&M (603 - 1970) and No. 21 on UT's all-time list.
- Improved to 93-9 (.912) against unranked opponents in the Mack Brown era.
- Texas intercepted its 21st pass of the season, tied for the 10th-highest total in school history.

Mack Brown ERA
- Improved to 106-3 when outrushing an opponent.
- Improved to 94-13 when outpassing an opponent.
- Improved to 97-16 when passing for more than 200 yards.
- Improved to 68-8 when passing for more than 250 yards.
- Improved to 101-2 when recording more than 400 yards of total offense.
- Improved to 125-13 when scoring more than 20 points.
- Improved to 103-7 when leading at halftime.
- Improved to 112-5 when leading after three quarters.

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
Sam Acho
- Acho's sack late in the second quarter was his eighth of the season and moved his career total to 12.5.

Marquise Goodwin
- Goodwin's 95-yard kickoff return for a TD was tied for the fourth longest return in school history. It was Goodwin's first career KO return for a TD.

Sergio Kindle
- Kindle's fumble recovery in the third quarter was his first of the season and the third of his career.

James Kirkendoll
- Kirkendoll's two TD receptions gave him six for the season and seven for his career. It was second consecutive game with two TD catches.
- Kirkendoll's 47-yard TD reception was a career-long, topping a 42-yard catch at Wyoming.

Hunter Lawrence
- Lawrence now has 119 points on the season breaking the single-season school record for points by a kicker (David Pino - 113 in 2005).

Colt McCoy
- McCoy (44-7) improved his NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) QB victories total to 44.
- McCoy became the first Texas QB ever to register consecutive 12-win seasons.
- McCoy threw four or more TD passes for the ninth time in his career.
- Over the last five games, McCoy has completed 154-of-209 passes (73.7%) for 1,791 yards and 18 TDs (2 INTs) for a passer rating of 172.2.
- McCoy's four TD passes give him 27 for the season and 112 for his career.
- McCoy extended his school-record streak to 29 consecutive games with a TD pass. His 29-game streak is the longest active streak in the nation.
- McCoy has thrown a TD pass in 48 of his 51 starts.
- McCoy accounted for 221 yards of total offense in the second quarter (148p/73r).
- McCoy accounted for 341 yards of total offense in the first half (222p/119r).
- McCoy's 65-yard TD run was a career long, besting his 44-yard run against Iowa State in 2007.
- McCoy logged his first 100-yard rushing game of the season and the third of his career.
- McCoy's 175 rushing yards were a career high, topping his 106 yards at Oklahoma State in 2007.
- McCoy's 175 rushing yards were the fifth-best ever by a UT QB and tied for 58th on the all-time list.
- McCoy's 65-yard TD run was tied for the third-longest run by a UT quarterback (Vince Young - 80 vs. Okla. State, 2005; Bret Stafford - 74 vs. Stanford, 1985; Vince Young - 65 vs. Nebraska, 2003)
- McCoy has rushed for a TD and passed for a TD in the same game 14 times in his career.
- McCoy's 27 TD passes ranks third on the UT single-season list. He also owns the top two spots with 34 in 2008 and 29 in 2006.
- McCoy has thrown at least two TD passes in 35 of his 51 starts.
- McCoy has thrown for at least 200 yards 38 times in his 51 career games.
- McCoy has thrown for at least 300 yards for the 15th time in his career.
- McCoy passed for 200 yards in the first half of a game for the 13th time in his career.
- McCoy punted second time this season and the sixth time in his career, he's pinned the opposition inside the 20 on all seven punts.
- With four TD passes and one rushing TD, McCoy has been responsible for 131 TDs during his career and is still in sixth place on the NCAA career TDs responsible for list
- McCoy finished the game with 14,651 yards of total offense for his career, 14 yards shy of Ty Detmer (14,665) for fifth place on the NCAA FBS all-time list.
- McCoy passed Kevin Kolb (12,964) to move into sixth place on the NCAA FBS history on the career passing yardage list with (13,050).
- McCoy ended the game with 1,591 career rushing yards to pass Jack Crain (1,436), Richard Ochoa (1,494), James Saxton (1,524) and Tommy Ford (1,577) for 23rd place on the UT career list.
- McCoy's 479 yards of total offense was the third best effort in school history behind Vince Young's 506 yards against Oklahoma State in 2005 and McCoy's 483 yards against UCF earlier this season.
- McCoy registered his fifth career game with 400 or more yards of total offense, breaking Vince Young's school record of four.
- McCoy ended the game with 3,328 passing yards on the season. He now owns three of UT's four 3,000-yard seasons.
- McCoy's 18 rushing attempts were a career-high topping the 16 he had on three separate occasions

Tre' Newton
- Newton made his second consecutive start and his third of the season.
- Newton's 7-yard TD run in the third quarter was his sixth TD of the season.
- Newton rushed for a career-high 107 yards, his first-ever 100-yard rushing game.
- Newton set a career-best for all-purpose yardage with 107 yards, topping the 102 last week against Kansas.

Kheeston Randall
- Randall's two sacks were the first two of his career.

Jordan Shipley
- Shipley finished the game with 1,292 receiving yards on the year to improve his single-season school record.
- Shipley finished the game with 2,998 receiving yards for his career, two shy of becoming the third player in school history to reach the 3,000-yard mark for a career.
- Shipley two TD receptions gave him 11 on the season and 31 for his career.
- Shipley is tied for third on the UT single-season TD reception list with 11
- Shipley passed Quan Cosby (92) for second place on the UT single-season reception list with 99, one shy of Kwame Cavil (100) for the school record.
- Shipley moved into fourth place on the Big 12 Conference career TD reception list with 31.

Earl Thomas
- Thomas set the UT single-season interception record with his eighth of the season, breaking a tie he had with five others. He has 10th for his career.

Malcolm Williams
- Williams recorded his second consecutive 100-yard receiving game. It was his second of the season and the third of his career.
- Williams nine receptions were a career-high, topping the six receptions he logged against UCF and Kansas this season.
