O'Keefe and Longhorns win Betsy Rawls Invitational: For the second straight week the Longhorns came away with the team and individual title as they won their home event, the Betsy Rawls Invitational. Farah O'Keefe won her third event of the season. O'Keefe earned SEC Women's Golfer of the Week honored and moved up to the No. 1 ranking on the Scoreboard by Clippd individual rankings. O'Keefe also moved up to No. 4 and second American on the World Amateur Golf Rankings. Cindy Hsu finished runner-up at the Betsy Rawls Invitational and Lauren Kim finished T7 in the event. O'Keefe, Hsu and Kim will be competing next month in the Augusta National Women's Amateur.
The Field (Mar. 21 Clippd Rankings): Tulane, No. 9 Wake Forest, No. 5 Texas, SMU, No. 1 Stanford, TCU, No. 7 Oregon, No. 3 Texas A&M, No. 22 Arizona, No. 6 Auburn, No. 16 Mississippi State, No. 11 Duke and Oklahoma State.
Longhorns win Darius Rucker Intercollegiate: The Texas women's golf team won their first event of the season and they won the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head, S.C., March 2-4. Farah O'Keefe led the way with the individual victory. Lauren Kim finished in seventh place and Cindy Hsu finished T18 in the event.
O'Keefe earns second win of the season: Farah O'Keefe opened with a 7-under 64 en route to a victory at the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate. It was her second time winning the event and her third collegiate victory. Earlier this season O'Keefe made a chip to win the Therese Hession Regional Challenge in a playoff. That win was her second collegiate tournament and Cindy Hsu (3) and Lauren Kim (5) also finished in the top-five for Texas.
O'Keefe wins gold with Team USA: Farah O'Keefe was part of the team who won gold at the World Amateur Team Championships in Singapore. O'Keefe finished T11 in the tournament. She played on Team USA with Megha Ganne (Stanford) and Catherine Park (USC) who are both in this tournament. Texas had five players in the event with Lauren Kim (Canada), Vivian Lu (New Zealand) and Cindy Hsu and Selina Liao (Taiwan)
O'Keefe named to ANNIKA Award spring watch list: The Haskins Foundation announced the ANNIKA Award Spring Watch List presented by Stifel with Farah O'Keefe being selected to the list. O'Keefe has two victories on the season, five top-five finishes and has finished in the top-10 in each tournament she has played this season.
2024-25 Season Recap: The Longhorns won three tournament and advanced to match play at the NCAA Championship. Texas advanced to the NCAA Championship for the ninth straight season and 33rd time in program history. Lauren Kim was the Longhorns top finisher in stroke play at the NCAA Championship with a T14 finish. Farah O'Keefe earned runner-up honors at the SEC Championship.
