Rhodes helps U.S. win 4x100 at Pan Am Junior Championships

Texas sophomore Trevante Rhodes helped the United States win the 4x100-meter relay at the Pan Am Junior Championships in Port of Spain, Trinidad on Saturday. Rhodes, who was joined by Keyth Talley (North Texas), D'Angelo Cherry (Mississippi St.) and Marcus Rowland (Auburn), handled the third leg for the U.S. en route to a Pan Am Junior Championship record 39.06.
In addition to Rhodes' performance, Texas signee Marquise Goodwin took second in the long jump with a mark of 7.85m (25-9.25). Panama's Jhamal Bowen won the event with a leap of 7.89m (25-10.75). Earlier this season, Goodwin set the national high school record in the long jump with a mark of 8.18m (26-10).
