Texas (14-7, 3-4 Big 12) shot 57 percent (16-of-28) in the second-half, including 60 percent (6-of-10) from long distance, to put away the Buffaloes (11-9, 2-5 Big 12).
Fussell paced the Longhorn offense with 21 points, shooting 8-of-13 from the field and 3-of-4 from behind the arc. This marked Fussell's ninth game leading the Horns in scoring and her 11th 20+ point outing this season.
Texas went into half time clinging to a one-point lead after scoring only 25 points, its lowest first-half total on the season. The Horns then came out of the break hitting seven of its first eight to create an 11-0 run, increasing the margin to 12 points with 15:58 left in the game. Texas never looked back, building their largest lead of the afternoon to 23 points on another 11-0 run, capped by a Kristin Nash layup with 3:44 remaining on the clock.
The Longhorns were effective on both ends of the floor, with the offense posting a 19-11 assist-to-turnover ratio while the defense forced 20 Buffalo turnovers. Senior forward Kristin Nash came up big in the post, grabbing a career-high 10 rebounds and tying a career-high three blocks.

POST-GAME QUOTES
Texas Coach Gail Goestenkors
On today's win: I'm just happy to come away with a win. It was rough in the first half. I didn't feel like we really executed well. We seemed a little stagnant and didn't rebound well so I was very pleased with how we came out in the second half. We set the tone with our defense and attacked much more of the offensive side as well. So I thought this was a really good one for us and now we have a week to just get back to basics and get better to take it to another level.
On changing the game at halftime: I didn't have to say a whole lot. I was just very frustrated with our rebounding. Against Texas Tech we did such a great job on the boards and then to be out rebounded the way we were in the first half was just frustrating. We have to do well on a consistent basis.
Texas Freshman G Chassidy Fussell
On her streak of four-consecutive 20-point games: I like getting the ball at pressure moments in the game but I couldn't do it without my teammates. Ashley Gayle sets great screens and if I'm guarded then Kathleen (Nash) is going to hit the shots. When we are all working I don't think we can be stopped.
Texas Senior F Kristen Nash
On what it means to play for Texas: I think it means a lot just to graduate from the university and then to see all of the people who have come back. I think it's neat to interact with the people that have played here and get to hear about their experiences and I just think it's very special to have Coach (Jody) Conradt that's still here, and also Coach Goestenkors.
