Texas Ex named a finalist for the WPS Citi Sportswoman of the Year Award

AUSTIN, Texas - Texas ex Kasey Moore was named one of six finalists for the Women's Professional Soccer Citi Sportswoman of the Year Award the league recently announced. The award recognizes the player who demonstrates exemplary community involvement and/or sportsmanship throughout the season. The award is selected by coaches and players.
This season, Moore has played in 10 matches for the Boston Breakers, including seven starts. She has logged two goals and one assist. In her three year career, she has logged 36 matches, including 25 starts. She has three goals and one assist in her career. She has committed just nine fouls and received one card in 2,317 minutes of play. This season she has committed four fouls and has not received a card in 663 minutes.
Moore was a four-year letterwinner at Texas from 2005-08. She started all 91 matches during her career, ranking first all-time in school history in games played (91), second in game-winning goals (nine), ninth in goals (19) and 10th in points (50). She was a three-time NSCAA All-America, four-time First-Team All-Big 12 and two-time Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year
Past winners of the award include Christie Rampone (Sky Blue FC) in 2009 and Natalie Spilger (Chicago Red Stars) in 2010.
