NCAA Men's Swimming & Diving selections announced

AUSTIN, Texas - The NCAA announced its selections for the 2012 Men's Swimming & Diving National Championships in Federal Way, Wash. with 15 swimmers earning spots at the national meet.
Of the 15 swimmers selected, five are seniors, five are juniors, one a sophomore and four freshmen.
Senior Jimmy Feigen qualified in six events, the most for the Longhorns. He is a 17-time All-American and will swim in the 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay, 400 freestyle relay and 400 medley relay.
Texas has two returning National Champions from 2011. Senior Eric Friedland won the 200 breaststroke last year and qualified as a member of the 200 medley relay in 2012. Junior Michael McBroom won the title in the 1,650 freestyle and returns to try and make it two straight in the event. Also win national championships in their careers, senior Neil Caskey and junior Austin Surhoff each won one in 2010. Caskey was on the first place 800 freestyle relay group and Surhoff won the 200 IM.
Last year at the NCAA Championships Dax Hill came in second in the 200 freestyle. He has the fifth fastest time this year and also qualified in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay and 800 freestyle relay.
Other swimmers going to the meet with NCAA experience include junior Cole Cragin, junior Nick D'Innocenzo, sophomore Charlie Moore, and senior Jackson Wilcox.
Making their debut at the NCAA Championships will be senior Kyle McNeilis and freshmen Tripp Cooper, Kip Darmody, Jake Ritter and Clay Youngquist.
The NCAA Championships will take place March 22-24 in Federal Way, Wash.
