Kós earns Co-Swimmer of the Year; Germonprez, Modglin and others lead deep All-America haul following national championship.
AUSTIN, Texas – Fifteen members of the Texas Men's Swimming and Diving program have been named CSCAA All-Americans, the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association announced Tuesday morning. The honors follow Texas' first national championship across all sports in the 2025-26 academic year, as the Longhorns captured the 2026 NCAA title under head coach Bob Bowman.
Hubert Kós headlined the All-America haul, earning seven total honors and claiming CSCAA Co-Swimmer of the Year. The Hungarian standout swept First Team recognition in the 100 backstroke, 200 backstroke, 100 butterfly, 200 free relay, 200 medley relay, 400 free relay and 400 medley relay. Kós authored the signature moment of the championship with a record-breaking performance in the 200-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 1:34.13 to break his own NCAA, U.S. Open, meet and program records. He now owns back-to-back NCAA titles in both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke.
William Modglin earned five First Team honors, earning recognition in the 100 backstroke, 100 breaststroke, 200 individual medley, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay. Nate Germonprez matched that with five total honors: First Team in the 100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke, 200 medley relay and 400 medley relay, along with a Second Team selection in the 200 individual medley.
Garrett Gould earned four honors, claiming First Team recognition in the 200 free relay, 200 medley relay and 400 free relay, plus a Second Team nod in the 200 individual medley. Rafael Fente-Damers earned four distinctions as well, with First Team selections in the 200 free relay, 400 free relay and 800 free relay, plus a Second Team selection in the 200 freestyle.
Kyle Peck collected four total honors: First Team in the 200 free relay and 400 free relay, and Second Team selections in the 200 backstroke and 200 individual medley. Rex Maurer earned four honors, claiming First Team recognition in the 500 freestyle, 400 individual medley and 800 free relay, along with a Second Team nod in the 200 individual medley.
Baylor Nelson earned three First Team honors in the 200 individual medley, 400 individual medley and 800 free relay. Campbell McKean earned First Team recognition in the 100 breaststroke and a Second Team selection in the 200 individual medley. Cooper Lucas earned a First Team honor in the 400 individual medley and a Second Team selection in the 200 individual medley.
Camden Taylor collected two First Team honors in the 400 medley relay and 800 free relay. Will Scholtz earned a Second Team selection in the 200 breaststroke. On the boards, Luke Forester and Nicholas Harris both earned First Team recognition on 3-meter, while Jacob Jones earned a Second Team selection on 1-meter.
The title marked the first national championship for Texas across all sports during the 2025-26 academic year. The Longhorns now own 69 all-time national championships, including 65 NCAA crowns. Over the last six years, Texas has captured 14 NCAA team titles across eight different programs. Excluding the COVID-shortened 2019-20 season, the Longhorns have won at least one NCAA Championship in 11 consecutive seasons. The Longhorns scored 445.5 points to secure their second consecutive national championship and 17th in program history. Florida finished second with 416 points, and Indiana took third with 351 points. Coach Bob Bowman now has three consecutive NCAA titles, dating to his 2024 championship at Arizona State.
