Texas Baseball has turned the corner and is coming into the 2014 season with a renewed sense of confidence and lineup that can compete for another conference title. The Longhorns return all three starting pitchers from last season's weekend rotation, along with five other contributors, that combined to rank seventh nationally last season in ERA (2.61). Senior Mark Payton ranked 12th in the country and had a .393 batting average last year. Mark was drafted in the 16th round by the Cleveland Indians, but instead chose to return this season. Texas also welcomes 13 newcomers to the program that made up the second-ranked recruiting class in the nation, according to Baseball America.
Renewing season ticket holders
As a reminder, the priority deadline to renew your season tickets is Monday, Dec. 2, 2013. We encourage you to renew now, so you do not lose your current seat location. The 2014 schedules promise to be truly exciting seasons, including visits to Austin from nationally-ranked teams. The stands are sure to be full this spring, so renew now to lock in your seats for all the action. New Season Ticket Holders
If you have considered purchasing season tickets in the past, now is the perfect time to do so. Having reserved seats in the best available areas makes attending the games more convenient for you as a fan. Both teams will have great home schedules where many games have the potential to sell out. As a season ticket holder, you will have the best available reserved seats to witness all the action. Our fans, especially our season ticket holders, are truly an important part of our teams success.
