Qualifiers announced for NCAA Women's Track and Field West Preliminary Round

INDIANAPOLIS - The final descending order list for the NCAA Division I Track & Field West Preliminary Round was announced Monday night. The No. 11 Texas Women's Track and Field squad posted 31 regional-qualifying marks from 17 athletes in 15 events.
The NCAA West Preliminary Round, which will take place May 23-25 at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin, will feature the top 48 individuals and 24 relay squads in each event in the West Region. The top 12 marks in both individual events and relays from both the West and East prelims will earn qualification for the NCAA Championships, which will be held June 5-8 in Eugene, Ore.
Ten of the Longhorns' marks register in the top 12 in the West Region:
- Christy Udoh - 200 meters (23.17 - 11th)
- Courtney Okolo - 400 meters (52.44 - 12th)
- Morgan Snow - 100-meter hurdles (12.90w - 3rd)
- Danielle Dowie - 400-meter hurdles (56.58 - 6th)
- Shanay Briscoe - high jump (6-0/1.83m - t-4th)
- Kaitlin Petrillose - pole vault (14-3.5/4.36m - 3rd)
- Natasha Masterson - pole vault (13-7.75/4.16m - 12th)
- Morgan Snow, Christy Udoh, Danielle Dowie, Chalonda Goodman - 4x100-meter relay (43.59 - 2nd)
- Danielle Dowie, Briana Nelson, Kendra Chambers, Courtney Okolo - 4x400-meter relay (3:27.65 - 2nd)

Schedule: Field events start at noon all three days. Running events begin at 4:30 p.m. on both May 23 and 24, and 6 p.m. on May 25. For the complete schedule, click here.
Tickets: All-session tickets are priced at $25 for adult and $15 for youth (17 and under) and seniors.
