All-Time Series: Texas leads its overall series against Kansas by a commanding 14-3-2 total, however, the Longhorns and Jayhawks have split the most recent four meetings, 2-2. UT is unbeaten at home against KU, 7-0-1, while 11 of the last 12 matches in the series have been settled by just one goal (other match was a tie-2007). UT is 8-3-1 over that stretch vs. the Jayhawks.

- Facing No. 11 Kansas on Friday means that four of Texas' last six matches will have been against ranked teams. That marks the first time since 2003 (played four ranked teams over six matches) that UT has faced such a difficult stretch of contests over such a short time (went 3-3 against No. 20 Clemson, Furman, No. 1 North Carolina, LSU, No. 20 Portland and No. 14 Washington from Sept. 5-21, 2003).
- Texas possesses a 2-1 record to open its 2014 Big 12 campaign. That continues a trend of getting off to great league starts under the leadership of head coach Angela Kelly. In her three years in charge of the program, the Longhorns have boasted records of 3-0 (2012) and 2-1 (2014, 2013) after their first three league matches and were 3-1 after four Big 12 matches in both 2012 & 2013. Only four teams in Texas history started the Big 12 slate at 3-0 (2012, 2002, 2001, 2000) while five have started at 2-1-0 (2014, 2013, 2006, 1999, 1997).
- Looking at current records (as of 10/9), Texas has played 13 teams that have combined to post a 94-50-17 overall record (a .637 winning percentage) thus far in 2014. As of Oct. 7, the NCAA rated UT's slate as the 10th-toughest schedule by percentage in Division I and second-toughest in the Big 12 behind Oklahoma State. Nine of those 12 teams currently possess winning records, while five of those squads (UCLA, Arizona State, UCF, Texas Tech & West Virginia) have lost two or fewer matches. That tough schedule is reflected in the Longhorns' RPI (Ratings Percentage Index) as UT sits at a season-best No. 25 in the most recent NCAA RPI release of the campaign (10/6), up four more spots from last week and good for fifth among Big 12 teams.

- Forward Olivia Brook continues to impress as the Houston, Texas, native currently possesses the most points (14) and goals (six) of any freshman in the entire Big 12 Conference. She currently sits in a deadlock for fourth in both categories in the league (counting all players). Besides Brook, the only two freshmen in the Big 12 with at least four goals are TCU's Kela Gray and Emma Heckendorn (four scores each).
- The Longhorn program owns an 85-38-15 all-time record against members of the Big 12 Conference and is 12-7-1 against league foes since Angela Kelly took over as head coach.
