Texas Men's Tennis (13-2) visits North Carolina for a pair of matches against nationally-ranked opponents -- No. 11 North Carolina on Monday and a rematch with No. 21 Wake Forest on Thursday. The Longhorns are in the middle of facing three straight ACC opponents after defeating Florida State, 5-2, on Friday in Austin.
The seventh-ranked Longhorns have been in the top-10 for five consecutive weeks and are riding a five-match winning streak entering Monday's match in Chapel Hill.
UT and North Carolina are meeting for the fourth consecutive season on Monday. Texas holds a 13-3 all-time series lead against UNC.
The Hess-Olesen twins -- UT's Søren and UNC's Esben -- have faced on the court in the two previous dual matches between Texas and North Carolina. In 2012, Søren won a doubles match with Alex Hilliard over Esben and Brennan Boyajian, 8-3. Esben edged Søren in a three-set singles match last season in Austin (6-3, 4-6, 4-6).
UT and Wake Forest are meeting for the second time this season. The Longhorns defeated the Demon Deacons, 4-3, on Jan. 26 this season at the ITA Kick-Off in Nashville, Tenn., to earn a berth in the ITA National Team Indoor Championships. The Longhorns are 5-0 all-time against the Demon Deacons.
