Sam Acho had an interception and a pass deflection; Justin Tucker made four field goals
In week two of the NFL season, 34 Longhorns were on NFL rosters and two were coaching, representing a total of 22 organizations. Here is how they fared:
ARIZONA CARDINALS
OLB Sam Acho had an interception, a pass deflection and a special teams tackle in the Cardinals 25-14 victory over the New York Giants.
C Lyle Sendlein started at center and helped the Cardinals rush for 124 yards in the win.
DE Alex Okafor did not play again this week due to a thigh injury.
ATLANTA FALCONS
OG Justin Blalock started at left guard for the Falcons in a 24-10 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
BALTIMORE RAVENS
CB Chykie Brown recorded a tackle in the Ravens' 26-6 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
PK Justin Tucker made four field goals (30, 23, 22, 20 yards) and two extra points in the victory. He also has 10 touchbacks on the year on kickoffs.
CB Aaron Ross is on injured reserve.
BUFFALO BILLS
S Aaron Williams started and had seven tackles, two for a loss, in the Bills' 29-10 win over the Miami Dolphins. Williams added a pass deflection, and now has 10 tackles this season.
WR Marquise Goodwin saw action in the victory and had one rush for four yards.
CAROLINA PANTHERS
RB Fozzy Whittaker saw action for the Panthers in their 24-7 win over the Detroit Lions but did not record any statistics.
CB Carrington Byndom is on the practice squad.
CINCINNATI BENGALS
OG Trey Hopkins is on the reserve list.
CHICAGO BEARS
DE Lamarr Houston started and recorded a quarterback hit in the Bears' 28-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
CLEVELAND BROWNS
Offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan's unit recorded 324 total yards in a 26-24 win over the New Orleans Saints. With under three minutes remaining, and the ball on their own 4-yard line, Shannahan helped direct the Browns offense on an 80-yard drive to set up the game-winning field goal.
DALLAS COWBOYS
DT Henry Melton started and recorded a half sack, a quarterback hit and a pass deflection that led to an interception in the Cowboys 26-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans.
OL Donald Hawkins was inactive for the second week in a row.
DT Chris Whaley is on the reserve list.
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS
DE Cory Redding started for Indianapolis in a 30-27 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, recording one tackle and one quarterback hit.
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS
DT Roy Miller started for Jacksonville and had five tackles in the Jaguars' 41-10 loss to the Washington Redskins.
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS
RB Jamaal Charles started at running back for Kansas City in the team's 24-17 loss to Denver. Charles had two rushes for four yards and one catch for eight yards before missing the remainder of the game with a high ankle sprain.
LB Derrick Johnson will miss the remainder of the season with a torn Achilles.
MIAMI DOLPHINS
OT Tony Hills is on the practice squad.
MINNESOTA VIKINGS
DS Cullen Loeffler successfully snapped for the Vikings' special teams in their 30-7 loss to the New England Patriots.
DE Brian Robinson started for the Vikings, recording one tackle and one quarterback hit in the loss.
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS
S Kenny Vaccaro started at safety and had seven tackles (five solo) in a 26-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns. Vaccaro now has 11 tackles on the season.
OAKLAND RAIDERS
CB Tarell Brown had five tackles as the starting cornerback for the Raiders in their 30-14 loss to the Houston Texans.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES
LB Emmanuel Acho made his first appearance of the season, recording one special teams tackle in a 30-27 win over the Colts.
SAN DIEGO CHARGERS
S Adrian Phillips is on the practice squad.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
K Phil Dawson made both field goals (27, 24 yards) and both extra points he attempted in the 49ers' 28-20 loss to the Chicago Bears.
SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
S Earl Thomas started at safety and had seven total tackles in the Seahawks' 30-21 loss to the San Diego Chargers. Thomas now has 12 tackles through Seattle's first two games.
TENNESSEE TITANS
S Michael Griffin had seven tackles (six solo and one for a loss) in the Titans' 26-10 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Griffin now has 11 tackles on the season.
WASHINGTON REDSKINS
QB Colt McCoy was inactive for the Redskins' 41-10 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
DE/OLB Brian Orakpo started at outside linebacker and had a sack, two quarterback hits and two total tackles in the victory.
LB Keenan Robinson started and had three quarterback hits to go along with six total tackles and a half sack. Robinson has 12 tackles and four quarterback hits through the first two games.
LB Jackson Jeffcoat is on the practice squad.
