TEAM NOTES
• Series: BYU improved to 4-1 in the series, including wins in the last two meetings.
• Game Captains: WR John Harris and DE Cedric Reed served as game captains.
• First Time Starters: On offense, C Jake Raulerson, RG Taylor Doyle and QB Tyrone Swoopes started for the first time. On defense, S Dylan Haines earned his first career start.
• Sack Attack: The Texas pass rush has been consistent in the first two games. After posting four in the season opener vs. North Texas, the Longhorns had six more in this evening's contest. Tonight's sack total was the most since posting nine in last year's Texas Tech contest.
• Forcing Turnovers: The Texas defense forced a pair of turnovers (Quandre Diggs interception/Malcom Brown forced fumble) in the game and now has six in the first two games (four interceptions vs. North Texas).
