- Playing four ranked teams in a single season definitely helps build the schedule strength as UT's slate is currently rated as the 30th toughest in NCAA Division I and 32nd toughest by overall winning percentage. Texas currently ranks third in toughest schedule in the Big 12 Conference by opponent winning percentage at .616, just behind Kansas (.626) and Oklahoma (.625).
- Texas enters this weekend with a 14-4-2 all-time record against Kansas (6-3-1 road record) and a 10-9-5 mark versus Oklahoma State (3-4-3 road record). UT lost home match-ups to both teams during the 2014 campaign (L, #11 Kansas, 0-1; L, Oklahoma State, 1-2). The Longhorns will be looking to avoid their first 0-2 Big 12 start since dropping consecutive league matches to open the 2005 season at Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
- Texas is 9-5-1 in its last 15 road match-ups and is 11-11-3 in matches following a loss under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Angela Kelly.
- In three-plus seasons under coach Angela Kelly, the Longhorns have posted a 29-2-5 mark when scoring the initial goal of the contest. UT went 10-0-1 in 2013, 9-1-2 in 2014 and are 3-0-1 in 2015 when registering the match's initial tally.
- Under the guidance of head coach Angela Kelly, Texas boasts a lot of success when the defense keeps the crooked numbers off the opponent's side of the scoreboard. Since the beginning of the 2012 campaign, the Longhorns have limited the opposition to a single goal or less in 52 of 72 possible matches. In those instances, Texas owns a 33-10-9 overall record and has gone 26-4-8 since beginning the 2013 season.
- UT senior goalkeeper Abby Smith has certainly been busy so far in 2015 as the Plano, Texas, native currently leads the Big 12 Conference in saves with 57. She also tops the league in saves-per-match at 6.33, a product of Texas' rugged schedule.
- Besides goalkeeper Abby Smith, three players always seem to be penciled into the starting lineup. Senior midfielder Lindsey Meyer has started all 72 possible career matches at UT over her career, while junior defender Isabelle Kerr and junior midfielder Julia Dyche have made 32 consecutive starts.
