Men's Diving trio lands top-five finishes at UT Diving Invite

Senior Cory Bowersox, redshirt junior Sean O’Brien and junior Mark Anderson place among the top-five on one-meter.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas divers Cory Bowersox, Sean O'Brien and Mark Anderson accounted for three of the top-five finishes in the men's one-meter finals Thursday on day one of the UT Diving Invite at the Lee and Joe Jamail Texas Swimming Center.
Bowersox led the Horns with his second-place total of 404.30 points on one-meter. The three-time All-American on one-meter maxed out at 76.5 points on his second dive, a three-and-a-half somersault in the tuck position.
The redshirt junior O'Brien totaled 392.10 points for third place while Anderson, the only Big 12 diver to score on all three boards at the 2015 NCAA Championships, took fourth place with 355.05 points. Miami's Briadam Herrera won the event with 436.00 points.
The men's diving competition continues Friday with the three-meter preliminary round at 1:30 p.m. CT. The finals air live on Longhorn Network at 6:30 p.m. CT.
