• ATKINS HEATING UP: In the last four games, freshman guard Ariel Atkins is averaging 13.5 points in 34.5 minutes. Atkins was named the USBWA National Freshman of the Week on Feb. 3. The Duncanville, Texas native missed eight games in December and January with an ankle injury. Atkins averages 10.4 points per game and leads UT in free throw percentage (.815).
• McGEE-STAFFORD ON A ROLL: Junior center Imani McGee-Stafford is beginning to hit her stride after missing eight games due to preseason leg surgery. In her four starts this season, McGee-Stafford averages 13.8 points, 7.5 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, and a .610 shooting percentage in 23.8 minutes.
• SANDERS ASSISTING: Junior guard Brady Sanders leads the Longhorns in assists (3.0 apg). In the last three games, Sanders is averaging 5.6 assists.
• POINTS IN THE PAINT: Texas is out-scoring its opponents in the paint by an average of 36-to-20.
• DEEP BENCH: 11 Longhorns average more than 10 minutes per game. Texas' bench out-scores its counterpart by an average of 25-to-14. Sophomore guard Brianna Taylor came off the bench to score 11 points against Baylor on Sunday.
• INJURY REPORT: Sophomore forward Nekia Jones (left knee) is indefinitely out. Senior forward Nneka Enemkpali is out for the season after tearing her ACL at Baylor (Jan 19). Nine student-athletes have missed at least one game due to injury this season.
