No. 10 Oklahoma State holds off Women's Tennis, 4-1

Longhorns split weekend road trip, return to Austin for three home matches next week.
STILLWATER, Okla. – Texas (3-7, 1-1 Big 12) scored a top-10 doubles win and a singles win from senior Lina Padegimaite, but No. 10 Oklahoma State (13-3, 1-1 Big 12) emerged with a 4-1 win over the Longhorns Saturday afternoon at OSU's Greenwood Tennis Center.
The Longhorns and Cowgirls engaged in a tightly-contested doubles session from which OSU collected two wins to claim the doubles point. Texas, however, picked up a significant win at first doubles. UT's Breaunna Addison and Dani Wagland upset OSU's seventh-ranked duo of Viktoriya Lushkova and Kelsey Laurente by a 6-4 count.
Oklahoma State stretched its lead to 3-0 behind wins at the first and fourth singles positions before UT's Padegimaite put the Horns on the board with her 6-3, 6-4 win over Maria Alvarez at sixth singles.
Texas held opportunities to win three-set matches at the second and fifth positions, but Oklahoma State clinched the win and ended the match at third singles, where OSU's Katarina Adamovic held off UT's Ratnika Batra, 6-2, 7-5.
Texas returns to Austin next week to host its first home matches since January. The Longhorns host Yale (March 17), TCU (March 20) and Texas Tech (March 22) at Caswell Tennis Center (2312 Shoal Creek Blvd.). The Yale and TCU contests are scheduled for live telecasts on Longhorn Network.
