Women's Tennis falls to No. 21 TCU, 4-0

Longhorns close out weekend Sunday in Austin against Texas Tech.
AUSTIN, Texas – Texas (4-8, 1-2 Big 12) yielded a tightly-contested doubles point and put forth a spirited effort in singles before No. 21 TCU (10-5, 3-0 Big 12) closed out a 4-0 win over the Longhorns Friday afternoon at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center on the grounds of the UT Golf Club.
UT's Ryann Foster and Lina Padegimaite scored a 6-2 win at second doubles over TCU's Palina Dubavets and Alexis Pereira, but TCU won the two remaining courts to close out the doubles point.
TCU added straight-sets wins at the fourth and second positions before UT edged closer to victories at the third and sixth positions. The Horned Frogs, however, finished off a three-set win at fifth singles to close out the 4-0 win.
Texas resumes Big 12 competition on Sunday when it hosts Texas Tech at Caswell Tennis Center (1 p.m. CT).
