Current and former Football players take part in graduation

Twenty-five Longhorns earned degrees this spring
A total of 25 current and former Football players will officially become graduates of The University of Texas this semester and many will take part in Spring Commencement Ceremonies on Friday and Saturday.
The graduation list includes current players Alex De La Torre, Taylor Doyle, Sheroid Evans, Sedrick Flowers, Trey Gonzales, Desmond Jackson and Duke Thomas, as well as current NFL players Carrington Byndom, Marquise Goodwin, Trey Hopkins, Adrian Phillips and Geoff Swaim.
Former Texas NFL players Priest Holmes (1992-94, '96), Kheeston Randall (2008-11), Nathan Vasher (2000-03) and Marcus Wilkins (1998-2001) are also among this graduating class.
"I was out for a little while," said Randall, who played with Miami in 2012 and Cincinnati in 2013. "When you come back, there's a little bit of rush but the academic staff here is wonderful. They gave me every ounce I needed to be able to graduate from this university."
Holmes last played in the NFL in 2007, but set a goal to get his applied learning and development degree from the College of Education.
"I truly enjoyed the opportunity to be back on campus," said Holmes.
For Randall, it was also important to his family for him to earn his degree
"My mom always taught me when you start something, you need to finish it," said Randall. "I wanted to come back and finish my education."
