Foreman brothers speak about relationship
Video: Assistant Coach Jay Norvell
Sophomore RB D'onta Foreman
On establishing the run game: We need to go out there and work hard every day and keep grinding. We have J-Gray [Jonathan Gray] leading the way. He's the senior and then everyone else needs to get on board.
On difference between he and twin brother Armanti: Besides our size, our personality is the same. We are always together. He's always in my room. We play the game together we talk about everything. We just have a great bond.
On not being recruited as much as his brother Armanti: It was frustrating at first but I never doubted my ability, so whatever offer he got I congratulated him on; and whenever I got offers, he congratulated me. I feel like I have a lot more to prove. I haven't shown all my ability yet, so hopefully I can show it this season.
On having less time to practice during the off season: I felt like I had to come in here and work hard. I worked hard while I was at home and I wanted to come here and get on board with everyone else. It taught me a lot. It taught me I needed to be on top of my grades and work on my work ethic and working hard in the classroom.
Sophomore WR Armanti Foreman
On his touchdown catch against Rice: Well, once I saw the ball come up I was just like this is big time, you know, I just have to go make a play on it. That's what I tried to do. I didn't care how the ball came to me. Being a receiver you just have to make plays, and that's what I try to do no matter where the ball is thrown. I got to make the play.
On Jerrod Heard's energy: Yeah, I think we really needed that. He's really a flashy type player. He can tuck it and run at any moment and you just never know. So when you are running a route and you aren't even coming out of your route yet, and you hear the crowd light up and you don't even know who got the ball, and then you turn around and you see him running behind you so you got to turn around and block. The defense doesn't really know what to expect.
On his relationship with twin brother D'Onta: I wouldn't say I'm the leader; we do basically the same things. We just basically try to lead each other in the right directions all the time, do what's best for each other, tell each other the rights things.
