The Longhorns (14-0, 3-0 Big 12 Conference) are off to the third-best start in program history and have opened Big 12 Conference play with three consecutive wins for the first time since the 2002-03 season.
Senior center Imani Boyette, who on Monday was named the Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, is the only player in the conference to record a double-double in all three league games. On the year, she is averaging 12.8 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game with 43 blocks. In conference games only, she is averaging 16.7 points per game and leads the league in both rebounding (14.0 rebounds per game) and blocked shots (5.7 blocks per game).
Sophomore guard Brooke McCarty contributes 11.6 points per game, while sophomore guard Ariel Atkins adds 10.2 points per game. Junior center Kelsey Lang brings down 5.1 rebounds per game, while senior guard Celina Rodrigo has dished out a team-best 46 assists.
Texas and Oklahoma State meet for the 43rd time in the history of the two programs with the Longhorns leading the all-time series 27-15. The Cowgirls have won four of the last six meetings between the two teams. The squads split the season series last year with each team winning on its home court.
Oklahoma State enters Saturday's game with a 12-2 overall record and a 2-1 mark in Big 12 Conference play. The Cowgirls defeated No. 4 Baylor 52-45 in their only home Big 12 Conference game this season.
